What do you guys think? I'm not an expert but I feel like we just got random bodies. I don't know how well these kids play.

Better than Pearl's first class.

I think Richardson and Chievous will be really good.

Potential There. Look who also recruited these guys...
Wes Washpun recruited by Iowa
Makanjuola by Indiana
Miller by Pitt
Richardson by GA Tech/Oklahoma
Chievous by DePaul and Baylor.
If they all stay in the system for 3-4 years they might turn out better then Duke Crews, Ramar Smith, etc.

Not impressed...The class was pretty much rushed and just thrown together and full of guys nobody else really wanted...They might turn out to be decent players but only time will tell...Certainly not excited it....Sorry but its hard to be optimistic about the future of UT basketball.

Richardson is a very solid prospect. Chievous is certainly a risk worth taking, very high ceiling. Washpun and Miller are nothing more than bench players in all likelihood. Makanjoula is a pretty poor player and prospect.

This is Tennessee basketball?!?!

I thought it was Missouri State....oh wait

That about sums it up

In reality its not that bad. Hard to pull in top tier players that late into the signing period. I think there will be some solid contributors from this class

Take in to account, that it is late in the recruting season and that our NCAA future is un-certain and our coaching staff is in transition.
Once our staff is settled, we get an earlier start on the recruiting process, our future with the NCAA is known and we have some success on the court, we will begin to get better student/athletes.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy with the class. I was worried about PGs and Cs, but the issue was addressed.

I don't understand how people were so much more supportive when Dooley came to town than for Martin right now. I would actually welcome the absence of the ridiculous people who renounced their fandom after the fiasco.

The first class=JOKE...... This is what UT basketball will be for years to come

You keep thinking that. Pearl came from a mid-major school and was able to recruit well. Hell, this class kills Pearl's first class and Cuonzo only had only a fraction of the time to do it.

Gonna keep thinking that.....UT will suck next year and they will be bad for the next several years....they will be right there with ole miss south carolina & auburn fighting for for the SEC basement!

If Bruce still had his job it would be even worse than that. The sanctions we would have gotten if Pearl was still here would crush the program.

Martin is trying to clean up the mess Pearl left.

I agree. these players are just role players; not go to players and certainly not capable scorers. Real good athletes that can run, jump, play defense and can not score consistently.

Good to hear we're in the presence of a psychic...

Random bodies seems about right. I'm hoping that at least one of them will be worth the scholarship

Please remember that Pearl left us in this situation along with blind allegiance to him as coach. He would have got one questionable 4 star into school and a bunch of other no names had he survived. The best players were locked up long before Coach Zo came in. Do folks honestly believe that we were not already at MO State's level last season? Perhaps they were not watching the same team I watched last year.

As to the players - all but Miller have good upside in IMO. You can't teach athleticism and they have it. Most are 3-4 year guys that will do better and better as they get them in shape (another Pearl failure), coach 'em up, and understand the system.
