I saw somewhere that LSU might be cool on Vitello because he’s young, good looking and single. Really. Mostly because they’re having a real hard time with sexual related cases.

So, instead they turn to discrimination based on age, appearance, and marital status? I guess that is one approach to breaking the news cycle of sexual related cases.

I find it very, very unlikely that Corbin goes to LSU, but that would be best case scenario for us. It officially fills that position and weakens an in-state/same division rival.

Except it creates an opening in Nashville, and they might come after Tony.

People on these threads have a real big problem of falling for trolls. There was no way LSU was going to offer 2.8 mil for a coach at this time...literally no way. You can see the trolls from a mile away....idk how people fall for them so easily.
Well. We'll see. Said $2.6m with incentives for TV. No way I could know the exact details of their talks. I'd guess around $1.8 with bonuses up to $2.6m or so for national champs, sec champs, coach of the year, etc.

That would be the dumbest reason in the history of hiring decisions.

Never stopped Lane Kiffin or Kliff Kingsbury

Honestly I think it did hurt Lane for awhile. He was rumored for a lot of places but had to go all the way down to FAU and I think the social aspect of his life might Jane been a factor in that

If Texas eliminates Virginia tonight, it will be interesting to see if Woodward tries to get a meeting with O'Connor to talk about the LSU coaching vacancy since he is Maineiri's choice as his successor.

It’s called resentment. They are chugging poison down there while waiting for us to die up here.

I’m not sure if anyone else has posted this yet, but Rivals is reporting that LSU is zeroing in on Johnson: “It seems as if the LSU head coaching search is nearing an end as sources tell TigerDetails that current Arizona coach Jay Johnson has moved to the top of the list of candidates to replace Paul Mainieri as LSU’s head coach. There is growing confidence amongst sources that he will be named the next LSU head coach after going through the vetting process.”
