For the love of GOD. Holly didn't have a choice. It was Dave Hart's decision and then subsequent ADs after.
I don’t think there was much of an option on Holly. She seemed the logical choice after coach summit. Unfortunately it was a bad choice, you could see after her first season. Actually before when she was filling in for coach summit. Heading for an iceberg but no way to turn away.

Jmo,, if she didn't inherit Pat's ladies I Don't
Think she would have done as well as she did.

agree,,,it was the same as Kellie's....letting the offense go stagnant with no plan
Give her due credit. Holly was an amazing rrecruiter. Right up to her last yr, with the program in obvious and painful disarray and her job in jeopardy, she was pulling very highly ranked players, many top fives right up thru Jordan Horston. I could never understand it but she did.

As you can see I’m not one to post but, I do reas daily. The day CJC was announced I can’t help but remember the turmoil. Who is she, CKH should be given another year, DW has no idea what he’s doing etc. While she was basically unknown especially to our fan base she’s the best thing that has happened to us since Pat IMO. She brought new life to the program and fans. Then the announcement of her pregnancy. Some were in an uproar again. To me she a young version of Pat. From the first step off the plane for her introduction she hasn’t slowed down. The birth of her son wasn’t even a bump in the road. We don’t know what the future hold but, I’m hoping she is as committed to the state of Tennessee and the Lady Vols as Pat and here to stay!
I was surprised by the hire, because I didn't even know she was on Danny White's radar. But it was exactly the kind of hire I wanted him to make. Don't hire another person whose best credential is "played for Pat," and hire someone young with new ideas, outside the UT coaching tree. That was exactly what he did. CKC wasn't the one I was hoping we'd get, but White knows his business and Kim's won big everywhere she's ever been.

My comment at the time was that we could have just kept Kellie and made the tournament every year if that's all the program wanted. But there's a higher standard here, and you can't hire Geno, and you can't hire Mulkey, and you can't hire Dawn Staley (and would winning be worth putting up with any of them, anyway?). So you have to find the next one. She may or may not be that person, but she's already beat Geno and she gave the other two all they wanted.

Winning 20 games with 3 left to go in your regular season is impressive enough for a first year HC, but when you add in the fact that you play in the best conference in the country who has added Texas and OK to the schedule along with ooc games against a national finalist last yr and UCONN (and won both) that is pretty darn impressive!
5 of 6 loses against top 10 teams by an average of 4 ppg makes it shocking!
CKC has worked wonders and I absolutely can't wait to see what she does the rest of this season and next yr!
