Finally, Ron Paul makes it official

Yeah Ron Paul wants to fundamentally transform America, but he wants to do it by returning to the days of individual liberty and rule of law. Except for this time it won't just benefit white males. Kind of faulty to imply this is along the lines of what Obama promised in his campaign. Also, Paul has always walked the walk, so less likely to see empty promises from this suit.

"Ben Franklin was a rebel indeed,
he liked to get naked while he smoked on the weed
he was a genius but if he were here today
the government would **** him up his righteous A" - Tenacious D

apparently, the battery in your sarcasm meter needs to be changed

Chris Matthews tries the LG approach on Ron Paul by accusing him of being a racist because Ron Paul believes in property rights.

Ron Paul Accuses Chris Matthews of Making Him Look Racist by Bringing Up Civil Rights Act | NewsBusters.org

Matthews is such an idiot.

Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the ‘criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal. — Printed In Ron Paul’s Newsletter

Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action. — Printed In Ron Paul’s Newsletter

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance. — Ron Paul

I am not exactly sure if these are actual statements made by Paul or sentiments endorsed by Paul; if so, however, then he is certainly a racist and someone who might actually have theocratic leanings.

Not at all. If he were for a theocracy the last thing he would be is a libertarian. His statement was intended to mean that church was to play a greater role in our lives than government would have(generally speaking). Government got much bigger than the founders ever expected it to, and it plays a role in all aspects of our lives.

As far as the statements being racist, I'd like more context, and like you said whether or not he endorsed them. These stats look like something Walter Williams may have come up with. His research on blacks is always called racist. The thing is, he's a black man that came from extreme poverty.

Big Ben must have forgot about all those gold eagles flying around..Ron Paul To Bernanke: Do You Think Gold Is Money? | Precious Metal News

What ever happened to the "federal reserve transparency
act of 2009?"

Paul had a majority of the house signed on as co-sponsors,
of course Pelosi buried it in committee.

Now that the republicans control the house, one would
think that bill would breeze right through but I haven't
heard a peep.

It would never pass the democrat controlled senate
and might not even pass a republican controlled senate
since there are so many rinos about, but at least it
would be a show of good faith by some people and we
could be able to make more enlightened decisions in
the voting booth.

Paul kicking *** addressing these newsletters (which he didn't write) and accusations of racism. "Show me another candidate who is willing to pardon all convicted non-violent drug offenders (who the large majority are minorities)."

It's more like, "I'm not racist, look what I'm willing to do for the black populace."

He also points out he polls better among blacks than the other Republican candidates.

what does Paul do if it's him vs. Obama and the Obama dirty tricks department pulls out Paul's unapologetic acceptance of donations from David Duke and other white-power movements?

I don't know. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Meanwhile, everybody takes money from compromising origins.

All Ron Paul has to say is, "Yes, I'm going to take David Duke's money and when I'm in office I'm going to stick it to him, by improving civil liberties."
