He puts on a great show. I dont know if it was because it was my first concert or not but I still rank that as the best concert I've ever been to. Saw the two of them at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, which is an awesome venue.
I have been a Ben Folds fan for over a decade now, but this will be my first time seeing him live. I am looking forward to it.

I saw Kenny Rogers at the county fair back in the early 70's. I guess I was 6 or 7. Fist one I paid to see and actually WANTED to see was .38 Special
Sadly I also saw them a few years ago at Wingfest in Knoxville.

The Osmonds at Municipal Auditorium in Nashville.

I was 7.

On a brighter note, my all-time favorite was Pink Floyd in Houston.

My first concert was the Beatles first US tour in 1964 in Atlanta. I was 16, and a friend and I drove down from Bristol in my 57 Chevy, spent the night in a motel, got dates at a nursing school dorm across the street. We convinced them we were UT students. After that, not too many concerts get my interest.

Monster's of Rock Tour 1988 in Akron, OH.

Scorpions

Metallica

Dokken

Van Halen

Some other band, who I can't remember. One of the best concerts I've been to. Metallica blew everyone else off the stage. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago. Oh, to be 17 again.

1978 Civic Colesium

Black Sabbath was the headliner (with Ozzy of course)
Bob Seger was the middle band - Night Moves Tour
Target was the opener - never heard of them before or since.

He played a concert put on by the fraternities here on campus a few years ago. Even for a free show in front of a few thousand students he rocked out. And he played that certain Dr Dre song.

I dont know if it really counts but I sold T-shirts at

The Reebok Rock the Mic tour

50 cent, Busta Rhymes, Snoop at Starwood, I have to say it was the biggest collection of trailer park trash & human scum ever compiled in one place.

first concert I paid for with my hard earned cash was Montgomery Gentry & Hank Jr.

And the first one you mentioned had the trailer trash and scum? Hmmm.

it would be tough to top that for all-time concert experience. I can only imagine how cool that must have been.

Can you imagine parents letting two 16 year old boys going alone today? Mine put a lot of trust in me, but I was more mature than the average 16 year old. The concert was unreal in that you couldn't hear any of the first two songs and only about half of the third which was She Loves You. I think the first song was I wanna hold your hand, and the second was You're gonna lose that girl. The girls were screaming so loud, and many tried to charge the field where the Beatles were playing. The concert was at the old Atlanta baseball stadium with the stage around the pitcher's mound. They brought the band in a limo and at the end, they rushed them out in the limo as the crowd overwhelmed the security guards. A lot of the fans ran outside to watch them as they pulled out. It was pure bedlam.

Here's to another person having their first concert a Johnny Lang one. I wish he hadn't gone all gospel. I thought he was a great musician.

Saw Alicia Keys in a sold out MSG in NY back in June. Also met and talked to her for about 20 minutes about an hour before she took the stage. Extremely classy woman.

It was amazing, neil- his solo blew me away! we were late so I missed limelight so i was bummed about that but the rest of the show was incredible. Whole trip cost around 50 bucks a head including VIP parking.
