Congrats! It will be an experience that you will remember the rest of your life. Be sure not to miss the Vol walk. Man the feeling when the team runs through the T is unexplainable. Hearing Rocky Top inside Neyland will give you chills. I am getting chills right now just thinking about it.

If you don't want to deal with traffic you can catch a bus from Farragut High School(I think they're others too?) and it's only like $16 for a round trip. When I don't feel like dealing with traffic, I do that. They start running like 3 hours before kickoff and drop you off right in front of Neyland.

Or park at the Market Square garage (free) and enjoy the 1 miles walk along with other fans to Neyland. Negative is you need to get there early to make sure you get a parking space. You can breakfast at Pete's but be there early too because it seems the place fills up quickly being rather small. However, there are other eateries within Market Square itself. Maybe bring a large cooler box with ice packs you can freeze. Because you may want to buy stuff at the farmers' market at Market Square.

I'm not expert on this stuff but have been coming to games since moving back from the Southwest for the past 2-3 years now. Since each game I have attended, the UT ended up winning, Shirley and I will be at this Saturday's game. Got lucky in both off time and stumbling onto two $45.00 tickets in the lower Z section. Enjoy the game.

Thanks for the info. I may have to try this route seeing how I like starting game days off early anyways! :dance2:

Sure. Here's some info I hope makes it really nice for you:

1. Pete's Coffee Shop - Restaurant
Opens 7AM on Saturdays

2. Knoxville Market Square District Association
Use the map feature or MapQuest to get yourself there.

In walking to the stadium, there's a skyway that let's you avoid car traffic. For some dumb reason, I never remember the street it is on but do remember it is right next to Convention Center.

If other advice needed, just ask the fine folks on VN. They can be a pain in the rear, argue and spew hate on each other at times yet still lend a fellow Vol a hand. And that's why I'm passing on to you some advice I got quite a while ago when I was pretty much where you are now in terms of attending games.
They're good people despite themselves.

Darn it! Won't be free to attend after all. Gave tickets to someone else.
