I caught my biggest bass on a bluegill. Caught the bluegill, and the bass swallowed it🤣
My biggest came on a bluegill also, but it was semi intentional. I was using a live hand sized gill for bait fishing for flatheads. Was floating it past some woody structure under a balloon float and an 8lb 1oz lm ate it.

I love my 10’ Heritage Angler. How much does a 12’ weigh? Getting the 10 foot on my roof rack without assistance is quite the challenge 😂

Not familiar with that specific kayak, but being a 12 fter, most will be around 80lbs (+/-).

Just watched a YouTube video of some Vols fans in Florida shark fishing from the shore. Guys were flying the bait out far with a drone. And you had just been to the LSU UT game. Cool video. That any of you guys in here?

Nice. I live in northeast Georgia, pretty big for trout fishing. I've done it for years, just a couple of times a year, but always with a spinner. My wife just got my first fly rod for Christmas. I'm looking forward to learning, and catching trout with it.

*Well, at least trying 🤣
I lived in Acworth/Kennesaw, GA from 1998-2010. We used to fish the Soque River. We went about 4-5 times. There was a guy that had property that would let us fish for $100 a day. The going rate was $300 a day.

The guy owned several (Tony?) the chicken houses in the area. Everyone knew him as the chicken man. The fishing was incredible. You can't keep the fish, but pictures last for ever. Ted Turner bought up a bunch of land up there. I will say it's worth the money to fish there. I would do it again in a minute.

Fly fishing is very fun. Tight lines.

Yep, that's where I fish, and live. I only fish the public spots, occasionally a big one will float away from the private stocked waters.

Explain the river setup to me. You can only fish certain sections of the river?

The sickness.

Recently took up Mountain Biking, or some iteration of it. Gave up my gym membership for Covid, so needed an outlet.

Love to hike. Recently met a mutual friend who happens to be a Game Warden, wants to intro me to Turkey Hunting.

All that's great. But there is only one thing ill drop anything else to do...

The sickness of fly fishing.

(Btw, my profile pic was taken in front of the Appalachian Fly Fishing Museum in Bryson City), was really cool. Worth a visit.

Happiness for me can be summed up in a picture IMG_9062.jpeg
