Are we even sure yet if Maymon will be back healthy next year? Any reports on that? I'd love to hear progress... Seems like there's been nothing but bad news on that front for a whole year now.

From all accounts on his twitter he's back on the floor working out and doing all that

You mean the Lakers that won 3 straight NBA championships? I think they managed.

Anyways, I still like a team built like ours next year to be tough for a young and inexperienced Kentucky team to beat. Yeah they'll be really really good. But we probably will be too.

Like I said, the Lakers had 2 egos. Kentucky will have 7.

And Cal is no Phil Jackson.

Which one of those MCD AA's is gonna swallow his pride and become a role player? Or will it be one and pass and a shot goes up because everyone is trying to "get their's"

"best SEC team besides Kentucky"

Wish he wouldn't just anoint them reg season SEC champs. I know their incoming class is ridiculous, but Cal can always find a way for them to underachieve.

Cal hasn't found too many ways to underachieve with this type talent. Unless you consider losing your best player amd top-5 NBA pick underachieving. Sadly, next year that would be a minor speed bump. This year he just had no depth to replace Noel.

Goals are fine. Will they do what it takes to make it happen? Especially when they all expect to be one and done.

They'll be preseason number one so until a team can prove otherwise, then yes they can. This UK would be the favorite to win the NT in each of the last 5 years, at least.

After six consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament, Tennessee hasn't gone dancing in either of the last two seasons. That small drought could very well end in 2013-14 though.

The loss of Jeronne Maymon to injury put the Volunteers in a tough spot before the 2012-13 season even began. And a mediocre start put them in a hole that they couldn't quite dig themselves out of. When all was said and done, a late surge gave them 20 wins -- but ultimately left them on the wrong side of the bubble.

Maymon will be back next season, however. As will the main pieces from this year's lineup. Jordan McRae, Jarnell Stokes and Trae Golden were the top three scorers, and all have at least one more year of eligibility left. On top of that, the addition of four-star recruit Robert Hubbs (No. 34 on the ESPN 100) should help as well.

Some more encouraging words
