JMO of course, but we've been leading for a while and he's set to take his OV here the 6/24 weekend. If he's not going to commit for another 4 months it a) makes our current lead both less meaningful and perhaps in reality nonexistent, and b) means we've taken our best shot a long time before he makes a decision.

That could be an important date for him. Committing is a special moment for a lot of kids. The fact he’s already announced a commitment date that far ahead tells me he’s potentially close to making up his mind. Sort of like when people propose. They usually decide long before they ask a woman, they’re just waiting for the right time

There will definitely be new names pop up after kids camp this summer, and more in the fall once football season is in full swing.

Jakeem Jackson is getting more and more attention from the home state schools. Miami is a school to watch with him. He has set his announcement date and Tennessee is still in good shape there but the Canes are going to be a factor and Florida is certainly trying.

He’s not coming here. I agree though. He’d make an immediate impact and would likely be the best LB on the roster the day he steps on campus

Jakeem Jackson told us on Thursday that he will likely commit in July instead of October. This appears to be a three team race between Tennessee, Penn State and Florida. He visited Penn State officially last weekend and visited Florida unofficially earlier this week. Tennessee will need to show well this weekend if they are going to be a factor in his decision.
