When it rains, it pours, and the Florida Gators are currently in the middle off a monsoon as three verbal pledges from Florida’s prized Class of 2021 have decommitted from the program in the last two days. That’s in addition to the two verbal commitments that left the same class in April.
The biggest hit came Thursday when five-star defensive end Bryce Langston (Ocala, FL), the 10th-ranked player in the nation, decided to rescind his pledge. Following on Friday were four-stars wide receiver Trevonte Rucker (Ocala, FL) and athlete Dink Jackson (Melbourne, FL); they are ranked 40th and 203rd, respectively. UF losing such highly rated commitments from nearby Ocala is especially painful for the program.
Also previously committed were four-stars linebacker Terrence Lewis (Miami, FL) and athlete Kamar Wilcoxson (Stone Mountain, GA). Lewis is ranked 65th and decommitted on April 13, while Wilcoxson checks in at 232rd and departed on April 27.
