Just one day after
Marquis Robinson added his name to the NCAA transfer portal, he's now ready to take a closer look at Tennessee. The Auburn defensive lineman told GoVols247 that he's planning to visit the Vols this weekend coming off his freshman season with the Tigers.
A former four-star prospect from Milton (Fla.) High School, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound Robinson appeared in just one game as a true freshman during the 2021 season. He recorded one tackle during Auburn's loss to Georgia on Oct. 9.
Coming out of high school, Robinson was rated a four-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where he was ranked the No. 329 overall prospect and No. 42 defensive lineman in the 2021 class and the No. 51 player from the state of Florida in his class. He was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.
He originally announced his commitment to Auburn in August 2020, during Tennessee defensive line coach
Rodney Garner's previous stint with the Tigers. Robinson chose Auburn over Florida State at the time, with Alabama, Georgia and others also having extended scholarship offers to him.
