TRANSFER OL VISITS TENNESSEE
Another transfer-portal option who visited the Vols over the weekend, Florida offensive lineman
Gerald Mincey, clearly was impressed by his first look at Tennessee. By the end of the first day of his official visit, he wrote in a post on his Twitter account that he had committed to the Vols. Sources close to the situation have yet to indicate that his decision has been finalized, but all signs are pointing toward Mincey likely ending up at Tennessee.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Mincey has appeared in 10 games during his first two seasons at Florida, including nine games this year, playing mostly as a reserve offensive lineman. He primarily lined up at tackle for the Gators. Mincey is a former three-star prospect from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., who has three remaining seasons of eligibility.
