Cade is a road grading Guard that will likely get a couple PF roughing penalties
But he’s been playing tackle this whole time because he was our best option?

If that’s so, I could see him wanting to come back if the opportunity allowed for him to put in a whole season at guard and really shine.

Yeah I will say that is fair if we end up killing it defensively in the portal
I want to kill it out of greed... Not sure we have to... UGA D is great right now. Their O is not. The game at UTK is closer than what it appears. Without that D it is very tight. We missed some plays and left points on the field going for it etc because thats what we had to do. Next year it is a different game. But yeah I can understand being cautious. I want a title

Defensively UGA will not be anywhere near as good next season. **** it lets go boys. Wgwtfa
They say that about Bama every year. They forget who the backups were. We will see if Ga. Recruiting over the last several years is as good as advertised. I doubt that there is that great of a fall off.

🙄😳 take 99 out and the UGA front is half power. Take the other DT out and its really hurting. Now take away the all american lb. Not to mention the others they will be losing. Not saying they wont be good. But those guys are all difference makers

Matt Dubuc is the head coach at Cardinal Gibbons HS:

At a program such as the University of Florida, the scout team is the future. While they wait their turn for significant playing time on Saturdays, early in their careers they spend the week getting the starters ready for the next game. It is in this setting that Mincey caught the eye of All-SEC caliber defensive line teammate Zachary Carter. In one of Inside the Gators’ Anonymous Player Q&A sessions earlier this spring, it was shared that Carter would often compliment Mincey after facing him on a scout team rep. “I think when you have to go up against an All-American at practice every day, you bring it,” Dubuc adds, noting how playing against seasoned athletes only further pushed Mincey and made him grow as an athlete.

...Along with mental maturity comes physical transformation. The regimentation of college football aids in turning the boy into a man. Along with that, as a college athlete the days of just eating junk food subside. According to Dubuc, Mincey changed when he went to Florida. He was a big dude, but now he’s a very athletic kid weighing over 300 lbs. He adds that “has a lot to do with maturity, losing the baby fat.”

However, Mincey knew this change was coming. Joe Gilbert, who is currently serving as the offensive line coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, alerted Mincey that he was going to have to change his body to have a future in college and even professional football. Mincey has been up in Gainesville all summer long. Especially after having his first year plagued with COVID-19, he is taking everything in for his first “normal” football season. Dubuc mentions that spending all that time this summer up at the university can only benefit him. He is not only getting reps in daily, but he is also getting to build on that relationship with Dan Mullen and John Hevesy.

It is his relationship with Hevesy that has helped him along in his development. Dubuc said that during the recruiting process, Mincey was very clear about what he wanted in coaches. Ultimately committing to Florida, Mincey would say, ‘I don’t need somebody to like me, I need somebody to work me.’
