I’m honestly not convinced most are talking about the wrong kid when talking about transfers. No one has mentioned it (that I have seen), but I’m not sure Harrison Bailey doesn’t move on. He didn’t get a fair shot until 8 games in despite a mountain of evidence that JG wasn’t the answer, short-term or otherwise. Rumors that Chaney isn’t in love with him, and never was. Questions about the future of Pruitt and Chaney and the uncertainty of those situations. Another highly touted freshman coming in behind him.JG's gone. Maurer likely is too. Shrout might leave as well. It's just for depth purposes and some experience in the QB room.

Competition shouldn’t scare him off, but the idea that he won’t have much more equity built up than Salter will despite a year between them could be of concern when combined with the other factors mentioned.
I’m not saying I think he will transfer, just that I’m not certain he won’t and most of the talk of quarterback movement is built around the assumption that Bailey stays.
I could see it happen especially if JP is retained. The complete mismanagement of his 1 year on campus is just ridiculous. I could be wrong but I think Bailey may be a long time Tennessee fan, feel like I remember seeing him with Tennessee gear on in photos as a young child. Could be what keeps him here just the long dream of wearing the orange and white.I’m honestly not convinced most are talking about the wrong kid when talking about transfers. I’m concerned that he may view this as a sinking ship and he now knows he can jump ship with no penalty. Just because it isn’t being talked about isn’t reason to not be concerned about it potentially happening. I hope you realize it is perfectly okay to think openly and have an original thought before it becomes popular or common belief. If there’s not talk of it happening, why would you be concerned it would happen?
He’s currently the starting QB as a true freshman in the SEC.
