'21 FL ILB Terrence Lewis (UCF commit)

For real though, right?! I am actually starting to get a little bit worried about freak. He sent me a private message on Monday, I think, and told me he was trying to figure out what was wrong. I responded to him and have not heard back since then. I don’t think I have seen him reply to any of our posts mentioning him.
Freak is the secret weapon atl referenced and he's just been really really busy? 🤷‍♂️

Your 100% correct. I lived in Miami for 20+ years and the only team Miami fans support regularly is the Dolphins only and only if the Heat, Marlins or Canes are winning otherwise hardly anybody goes to the games. A friend of mine who played for the Canes Lorenzo "Smokey" Roan used to always tell me these Cane kids these days have no passion or fire like when he played and they are living on yesterday's success and they need to wake up!

Good news is now is the time to steal some recruits from Florida with both Canes and FSU both being down. South Florida kids are leaving South Florida these days where in the past they all stayed home or went to Tally.

He’s not the best reference for some but when a Hurricane great Michael Irvin says the same on national tv there’s a big big problem

This is from the Miami message board - Cane Insight. I have no idea what happened but noticed it while looking through their board.

"We aren't actively recruiting T. Lewis unless something has changed due to the incident at his old school."

Another poster quickly posted something about punching someone.

Again, I have no insight how much/if any of this is true. Simply sharing what is posted on Miami message board.

My son and I’ve been watching NBA fight highlights from last year. All they do is push each other and no punches. Asked him and he said they will get suspended for throwing punches so they push each other. Look like girls fighting. If two guys want to fight and it’s not a sucker punch then why would they not throw fist. That’s what a fight was when we were kids. One landed punch and it was over. People are soft. Now, if he threw a punch at a teacher or something like that, it could be a different situation

Yeah, that is what was said. Back in August, Miami fans were all excited about the possibility of flipping this guy from Florida but when he put out a top 6 in February and Miami wasn't on it, they turned on him. Then on February 9th, a poster mentioned him punching a girl or teacher and that is why he is transferring schools. Again, I have no idea if true but that is what a few posters mentioned. If I'm able to find it, I am quit sure the coaching staff has thoroughly looked into and found nothing substantiated.
This sounds like a total fabrication, although nothing surprises me anymore. I can't see a kid hitting a girl or a teacher these days and not getting arrested.

Fans get upset and will say about anything to make themselves or their team feel/look better. Another poster asked a question if TL had any issues and I posted what I saw. I hope no-one thinks I came on here to be negative or throw water on this fire, I was simply passing on information I ran across.
I have complete confidence this staff has already looked into this well before we got to this point in the process.

Idk, honestly don’t think anything serious came from it. I think they just banned him from the sidelines

Shapiro let himself out there too much. Everybody and their brother knew about it and was bound to happen. True story, i was at the Vols-Canes game when Vols came down and upset the Canes in the Orange Bowl to break the streak. A buddy co-worker of mine family has Canes season tickets every year so he gave me a ticket right on the 50 yrd line. He had extra tickets so he asked me to try and sell 4 extra tickets for beer money. There was undercover cops walking around the tailgating and one came up to me and told me to give him the tickets I was selling and I thought he was trying to rob me. Lol All of a sudden he arrested me for selling tickets and took me to underneath the Orange Bowl.

I was like dude are you really going to arrest me and make me miss this game and I begged him to let me go as kickoff was about to start. I was decked out in Vol gear from head to toe. The cop finally wrote up a notice to appear in court and let me go and I was able to catch the game. When Sean Taylor botched that punt and fumbled I knew it was over and I started yelling and talking sh#$ to Canes fans. My friend got so pissed off and started arguing with me and almost made me walk back home to Doral. LOL Went to court and Judge told me this is ridiculous arresting me for this and wasting my time so the lady Judge threw out the charges and dismissed the case. Never will forget this day and a big win for the Big Orange and bragging rights again for me!!! LOL

I went back into the archives of Miami newspapers during this supposedly time frame and couldn't find anything. If anyone punched a teacher, I would think an article would have been published even if the students name was eradicated. Now my research skills might be lacking so take it with a grain of salt.

Geez if we did not take anyone that has ever punched someone or got in a fight. We probably would not have a program period. Lol some people so soft like zoloft.

Throwing punches not really the goal during a basketball game.

I think when the blowup at Florida happened last spring and they had to part ways with Mullen's QB due to sexual assault complaints and then Steele (5*) left because his prior concerns about having to room with the guy hadn't been taken seriously, Lewis and Wilcoxson were the first two of their then highly touted 2021 commits that bailed. Florida tried to re-recruit both guys but I think both guys turned out to be hard sales. Any fodder coming from Florida's side regarding these two should probably be viewed in light of that and the treatment given to Steele in the aftermath of his departure from Gainesville. It's not really sour grapes as much as they, their players and fans, are trying to provide deflection for the social disease that Mullen permits to infest their roster. jmo.
