For sure, it matters what Tolan was or was not told during his recruitment by the HC, since what the position coach said is no longer in play. This player will figure out what is best for him. If he was selling the position coach during the recruitment and then went for bait and switch it might not work out for him down there. The coach can for sure hold him to the NLI and the kid can for sure use the new tool if needed. Be a while before we know unless he requests and is given his release. HEck, he might be cool with it all.

Agreed that Tolan was probably aware of the possibility. He was probably locked into LSU. But maybe some of their other LBs don't like the move and hit the portal? That'd be nice..

Shooting more for long reaching disgruntlement with this regime. He had an aura and that Notre Dame mystique at his previous stop...no passes in Baton Rouge.

It is possible that ON SIGNING DAY he felt the position coach was safe since the HC had already been spurned by a boat load of his staff at ND.

You think if the kid had any worries on Baker leaving etc he would have just held off on committing.Im sure he had a spot either way,sounds like he was prob content just going to LSU and letting the chips fall but who really knows minus him.
