This is the game where all you "SEC SEC SEC" loyalists have GOT to break the shell and pull for the 'Canes. A Miami win is good for UT.

Go Miami

How on Earth does a UM win help Tennessee?

1) It gives UF motivation against UT.

2) It tells UF where its problems are.

3) It hurts your own SOS.

I see no advantage at all to UT by UM winning this Saturday.

1) Absurd

2) Reach

3) Why in the hell should we give a damn about SOS?

You lose.

I'd like to see Florida win, to only make our victory look that more impressive.

And I threw up a little bit typing that.

it doesn't do a damn thing to help/hurt tennessee if miami beats florida.

it doesn't do a damn thing to help/hurt tennessee if florida beats miami.

cheer for miami if watching florida lose brings you joy. but, the outcome is meaningless for tennessee in all other respects.

Miami winning this one particular game probably won't "help UT," but a Miami program that is running full throttle once again can. The reason why: the more major programs in the state of Florida that are competitive, the more top recruits that are pulled away from Gainesville. Of course, UF will always get top talent, but forcing them to also compete more for that talent can do nothing but help UT. This game is the first step in Miami getting back to where they were. Just my opinion.

And yes, weakening our SOS is the least of our concerns this year. I think we've already got that issue covered.

^^ gets it. And thus, a Miami win should be desired by the UT fan base.

Keep telling yourself that. You're wrong.

Really.

During the spurrier era, Florida, FSU and Miami were in the top 5 nationally in wins.

Since 1980, all three are in the top 4 nationally in wins.

Keep telling yourself what you want, but I'm afraid you are wrong.

a resurgent miami program might help UT if they are making florida have to recruit the state harder, but saturday nights game has little impact on UT
