Miami winning this one particular game probably won't "help UT," but a Miami program that is running full throttle once again can. The reason why: the more major programs in the state of Florida that are competitive, the more top recruits that are pulled away from Gainesville. Of course, UF will always get top talent, but forcing them to also compete more for that talent can do nothing but help UT. This game is the first step in Miami getting back to where they were. Just my opinion.

cheer for miami if watching florida lose brings you joy. but, the outcome is meaningless for tennessee in all other respects.
