Elsewhere, Tennessee sent several coaches to IMG today to visit OL commit Chris Akporghene, UGA commit Nolan Smith, 5-star tailback Trey Sanders and plenty of potential 2020 targets.

According to a source close to Chris Akporoghene, the three-star Tennessee offensive line commitment from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan this weekend.

Assuming he makes the trip to Ann Arbor as scheduled, I still don't know that the Vols should be too worried about Akporoghene flipping to the Wolverines, based on what I've heard so far. But any visit this close to the early signing period certainly is worth watching. Akporoghene told me earlier this week that Michigan and Texas still had been recruiting him, and he does have the option of taking another visit next weekend, too, so it'll be interesting to see if the Wolverines are the only other team he visits before signing.

Mississippi State and Oregon also hosted him on official visits earlier this year, although his trip to Oregon was before he announced his commitment to Tennessee.

I don't think Tennessee has any plans to part ways with Akporoghene. He plans to be an early enrollee, already has gotten a visit from Jeremy Pruitt and took his official visit to Knoxville last month. The Vols still seem to be happy with him.
