Pittman was only here from January-December 2012, FWIW. He didn’t have much time to recruit that 2012 class that had no OL.

Dooley had final say in recruiting strategy. Doubt Pittman would’ve advised him to go with less than 3-4 OL...if he had been here.

For the most part. Pittman would have had the 3-4 weeks before signing day 2012 to check out their recruiting board and hit the trail.

The 2012 class signed in February 2012. Pittman was hired a few weeks before that in January 2012. By the time Pittman left Knoxville, he had 3-4 guys committed for the 2013 class. 1-2 followed him to Arkansas and 3 stuck around for Butch and Mahoney.
