‘23 FL OT Francis Mauigoa (Miami commit)

So question. In this particular recruitment, given how Nico has been talked up as the main reason he is considering us, would we still be in it without Nico and just NIL?
Would we have gotten Nico without the nil deal? Probably not but does it really matter? recruiting has always been an arms race so you can continue to keep your head in the sand about the purity of recruiting on the other hand could care less how or why we get them I think it’s obvious the NIL plays a huge part but as long as they are a Vol who cares.

Nico wasn’t going anywhere without NIL (none of the tops QBs are). So yes, we won him with NIL as well as all the other intangibles. No one’s arguing it’s a purity thing, but everyone seems to be adapting pretty well to the new game it is.

Agreed now all we have to do is sit back and enjoy the show and laugh at posters like BigOrangetrain who constantly gets pressed over the NIL

Mauigoa has yet to visit Knoxville but his conversations with the staff and with Nico Iamaleava have made such a huge impression that he is trending heavy to the orange based off people we have spoken to recently. Both are set to be in town for the Memorial Day premier event.

Heavy lean and he’s not even been to campus yet.
You might as well call this one over. Especially if they’re going to be in town together.
