To be completely fair, both Butch and Pruitt had classes like this that checked several big boxes on both sides of the ball. With heupels offense and NIL being an advantage, no reason to say getting a class like this is a dream

If you average all of them I’m sure Only 5 other players had a better combo usually one is way off those all are right on point…

I'd imagine they probably use ratings, which would skew vs rankings average. Need to include margins and all, so ratings would be more useful.

From looking around, ESPN margins seem to be the largest (so far), so him being #5 there may mean more.

For instance, this is #5 James Smith



And this is #8 David Hicks.



Rankings differ, but both are rated 98 and 97 on On3 and 247. But Smith is up (90 vs 88) on ESPN. But just down (6.0 vs 6.1) on Rivals. Idk the normal distribution of those ratings, but I'm guessing ESPN's 2-point gap is a bigger margin than the Rivals .1 difference.

Almost a month and a half ago, five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa named his top 13 schools. Tennessee was not on that list.

Six days after the No. 6 prospect in the On3 Consensus revealed his favorites, five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava committed to Tennessee. Mauigoa and Iamaleava are good friends, they have similar backgrounds, and that commitment has put the Vols right in the thick of this race.

“I have known Nico since the 9th grade and he put Tennessee on my radar,” Mauigoa told On3. “We are both Polynesian, we are from American Somoa, and he has been my dude for a few years.

“Tennessee had tried to recruit me earlier, but I had not talked to them much, but he has changed that. I didn’t expect him to go to Tennessee, so when I found out, I had to really start looking at them.

“They are a great school and I would love to block for Nico on the next level.”

The 6-foot-5, 327-pound offensive tackle is now in regular talks with the Tennessee staff. Josh Heupel, Glen Elarbee, and others have have began to build a relationship with Mauigoa.

“The whole staff is showing love to me. I talk most to coach Elarbee and coach Heupel, and they are great guys. Coach Elarbee is someone I really like. He is a smart offensive line coach and we are getting along.”

Mauigoa has yet to take a visit to Knoxville. That could happen late in March. Iamaleava will be there Memorial Day weekend and that elite quarterback stays in Mauigoa’s ear about the school he is committed to.

“Nico talks about creating a whole new team at Tennessee. He talks about the skill guys being there, but to win a national championships at Tennessee, they need linemen like me. That is what they are missing he said.

“Nico has talked about the school and the coaches and he says everything is great. The coaches have a plan to get Tennessee back to the top and Nico has been talking to me about it. It all sounds great.”

Now the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country wants to see it for himself.
