Most important recruit in a decade imo.

Agreed, we really should space these other QB offers out. Or at least let it be known we are taking two next cycle. Because Bailey will definitely cause Shrout or Maurer to enter the portal

I think that’s his Dad bro, which makes me feel uneasy. Really really need Bailey to stick
I wouldnt say that but if I had a son and he was committed to a school and had the pull to help recruit big time players I wouldn’t want them to keep recruiting QBs. I really don’t think the kid cares but damn! Anyone in that class worth a darn isnt coming here to sit the bench! Jmo!

It’s not unheard of for a program to sign two high level QB’s in one class, especially with two different skill sets. With that said you have to look at where CFB is heading with this whole transfer portal thing. A QB the caliber of Bailey is almost guaranteed to make 1 of the older guys transfer. And let’s just say Guarantano enters the draft or decides to graduate transfer after next season, and Bailey forces Shrout or Maurer to leave after spring ball. That leaves you with two scholarship QB’s, that’s no good at all. I understand what they are doing, we just need Harrison and family to as well.

You left out the big, ugly, reason. Injury

I know this is likely sarcasm but in case it's not...Bailey has been on campus each of the last two weekends recruiting for UT at junior days. He's not going anywhere but UT.

Did you just give him the Swanson guarantee? He definitely gone.

A lot of assumptions. Crompton was ranked about the same. Took 4 years to come around. JG was highly ranked, took 3 years to be a respectable starter. I'll be estatic if he comes in and kills it, but kid ain't Trevor Lawrence. We'll need veteran depth.

So you're obviously his dad so let's put it this way. What happens, God forbid, Harrison blows his knee out last game of the year. So bad that his career is over. What is Tennessee supposed to do then? You ALWAYS have a back up plan. If your son is that afraid of a little competition, maybe he does need to go somewhere else.

You have no clue who I am. I am not his Dad! Crawl back in your hole you came from!

This kid doesn't list TN and his top two are Georgia Tech and Maryland.

I don't even know if we have room for him. We just picked up Hill mid-season, we have huge needs for WRs, LBs, Safeties, OL & DL. That's a lot of need for 25 slots.

My guess: 5 LBs (3 ILB/2 Edge), 2 DE, 2 DT, 4 OL, 4 WR, 1 QB, 2 Safeties, 2 RB, 2 CB, 1 TE, 1 K and that's already 26. One blue shirt (they said on RTI recruiting podcast that you can still blue shirt).

I suppose you could go down 1 on WR if Palmer stays or down one on OL if Trey stays. Of course if Middleton goes due to grades, we may need another DT.

Currently we have 18 committed and rank #18: 2 DT, 0 DE, 2 ILB, 2 OLB, 1 Safety, 1 CB, 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 WR, 4 OL, 0 TE, 1 LS, and 2 ATH. I would guess that one or both Athletes would be targeted at WR and/or 1 at LB.

Maybe they have told him they are going to recruit another qb. As far as the rest of us they don't have to tell the fans or the media what they are doing nor should they. Recruiting is always fluid. There is going to be competition anywhere Bailey or any top player goes to college, as long as they are up front with him I doubt he has any problems with it and I haven't seen anything that would make me think anything but him being a VOL! GBO!

That would be so amazing! JG has toughness, no one can take that from him, but he just doesn't have "It". If Bailey takes the reins as a true freshman, he could be the next Jake Fromm. I do believe he has the potential!
He will be better than Jake. I think he has a 50% chance of starting sometime during next October.
