'19 FL RB Noah Cain (Penn State signee)

Haha! I can't wait to laugh at all you guys in here on Wednesday...

Respect for going with the Bose cans over the cookie cutter Beats everyone falls for. Above my pay grade, for sure.

Taotronics BH-22 is a nice set at a decent price if you are in the market. Love Klipsch, but too pricey

Carry on

When four-star running back Noah Cain of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., confirmed last week that he planned to use his last official visit to travel to Tennessee, he appeared to be a bit of a long shot for the Vols. He never had visited Tennessee, and he already had narrowed his focus to three finalists — Penn State, Texas and Georgia — leading up to the planned announcement of his college decision on Wednesday. But Cain’s first visit with the Vols might have given them a better chance than expected.

Sources said Cain and his family came away thoroughly impressed with his visit to Tennessee, and the Vols at least have complicated his decision as he prepares to announce his choice Wednesday during a nationally televised ceremony. Penn State was believed to be the favorite to land Cain going into his trip to Knoxville, but sources said he went into the visit with an open mind and is taking a businesslike approach to the recruiting process that seems to be working in Tennessee’s favor. He’s intrigued by his possible opportunity to make an early impact on the Vols’ offense. And it doesn’t hurt that one of his IMG teammates — Tennessee offensive line commitment Chris Akporoghene — has been recruiting him for the Vols for months.

That’s why the biggest thing is the depth chart. You can go to a school for the hype. They’ll hype you and all them fans talking about you on Instagram and Twitter. That ends in January. You get to school, and they don’t care about all that. They’re expecting you to win for them. It’s a business. It’s up to you. Forget all the facilities, and forget all your boys are going there. You’ve gotta go somewhere you can be happy and where you can get to the league. Some recruits, I know they’re just in it for the hype. They wanna go to college. Hopefully, they get to the league and, if they don’t, they’re cool with it. It depends on your mindset and how bad you wanna get that bag in three years.

That sounds good for us, imo
see, i think the opposite. you let the "high" of the visit settle a bit, then you really think about what you're goals are and how you can best acheive them.

seems like a very practical kid. i don't know how realistic it is for him to get to the league as a RB, but if that's the goal, then you approach it the way he is. kudos to him for doing it that way. he's right, a lot of peopel buy in to the hype and wind up disappointed later.

he just has to decide whether or not the guys coming in this class, this staff, can help him acheive his goals, or not.

i still feel better about him than i did last week. but no matter what he decides to do, i like the way the kid thinks.

I am not sure if we will pull this kid or not but I am a fan with how he handles himself and the process. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders. If he goes to Texas or Penn State, I will be pulling for him. If Georgia, then not as much. Seriously, seems like he would be a great get on so many levels and not just playing football. Fingers crossed.

i don't think he has a spot at UGA. PSU and TX are the main competition, and i thin PSU is the bigger factor.

Seriously, the Taotronics are a nice pair. $54.99 on Amazon, at the moment

Seinhauser HD650. These were going for over $200 about 15 years ago when they were first released, but I had a friend in the stereo business at the time who got me a pair for $75. I have used Seinhauser headphones since the '70s. I have never listened to even the cheaper Seinhausers that were not excellent, but the 650s are amazing, even after 15 years oh heavy use.

This article is a very interesting look into the mind of a recruit. It's worth the read outside of trying to read between the lines of what Cain says. I will say that Cain seems much more attainable after reading his opinions on the recruiting process.
