‘23 FL RB Treyaun Webb (Florida commit)

Nonsense. He's a 4*, and we all know those guys sitting behind desks evaluating players know far more than our coaches.
And even they are quickly dropping his stock. Everyone from evaluators to most coaches apparently realize something.

Then you have Shane Beamer, the guy that looked around the table and couldn't spot who the sucker was...and still doesn't realize he's the sucker.

"Well, son, getting a huge 3rd down stop to keep your team within 31 points in the 2nd half...that's how I define greatness"

Well first mistake is believing he's a great player. Other schools don't even want him anymore. So there's that.
Maybe that was the point? Great players want to play with great players. He obviously doesn't want to play with great players, so...?

Why?
Theyre an SEC team that has won 10 games twice in the past 3 seasons.

Kentucky hasn't been "Kentucky " for about 7 years now. People need to let that notion go...

You haven't figured out the Shakespearean logic here? It's all in the name. No matter talent levels, we'll always win against UK, and always lose against UF.

People just don’t get it. Kentucky is not that good. Their SEC record over the last 7 years is 27-31. In the last 7 years they had a SEC winning percentage above 50% twice.

He is good, just not as good as his rating
Never understood the high rating. I even thought Sam Singleton was a much better back and really would like to see us take him if we miss on Cobb. I know his offer list isn’t the greatest, but he can play and looks to be the perfect pairing with Stallings with his speed

The main point is Kentucky is not the doormat that it has been known for historically. And they aren’t. UK is now a legit team. UK is no longer a team that the SECE can just look at as a guaranteed win every year.

Even though we own UK, the days of us thinking that UK is this for sure win for us are over as long as Stoops is there. Look at last year. We barely beat them and to be honest, they embarrassed our defense.

We won.

Who cares about all that other crap?

yeah i mean.....

All i was saying was that is a really tough game for South Carolina, which is very true. Not sure what he was trying to prove there lol

Just stating some facts. We didn’t steamroll them. They beat us by 27 in 2020. We haven’t had a win that dominant against them since 2015 when we beat them 52-21.

Saying UK isnt a good team is as foolish as saying Kirby Smart isn’t an elite coach.

The most frustrating thing about that 2020 loss is that we were running the ball down their throats but kept going to the air and giving them the ball (and/or points).

That loss was the worst against UK in my lifetime. I mean UKs offense did nothing in the first half. I don’t even think they had 100 yards. Yet JG gave them 14 points and Shrout gives them 3 points.

It was actually incredibly similar to the Auburn game that year too. Crushing them on the ground every drive but then would try to air out and stall (at least in that game we didn’t throw 2 pick 6s but still)

I hate that I’m sucked down this rabbit hole but KY’s SEC record over the last 3 years are 5-3, 4-6 and 3-5. Not sure why several of you make them out to be some great team over the last few years. Granted that’s better than some of the 0-8 records before that but far from being a juggernaut.
