I agree with all that..I get why Barnes isn't excited about helping land Beckwith, but he would basically be a walk on to the BB squad. Florida's BB coach is basically lying to the kid about his value as a SEC quality BB talent to help Mullen out here it sounds like to me. I agree MW has much better value as a BB player.Does Beckwith even have D1 basketball offers? I don't claim to be very knowledgeable here, but I kinda get the sense that Beckwith is a marginal basketball prospect, but seems very determined to play bball all the same?
Whereas, I don't think there are many (or any) bball programs in the country that would pass on Wideman.
I hope you are right, but these ain't coins...these are proto human adults with weird thought processes.Same number of times I would flip a coin and win 5 or more times in a row. One in 32 attempts.
Just saying the odds of losing on 3 guys is less than likely, considering each is at least a reasonable prospect. It isn't like we are 3rd in line for all of them or something. I think Wiltfong even gave us a CB on Wideman today. We are clearly in a 2-team race for Beckwith and distance helps. Evans defies reason...but sounds like we are the last remaining contender against UGA. Odds look good we at least get 1 of the 3.
Hell, I'll take bets now and give anyone 2:1.
Read my post in the Beckwith thread..I don't really mean that...I am just a little salty that RB isn't playing along with Pruitt to help land Beckwith like Mike White is helping out Mullen here...at the same time I admire RBs honesty. Also, how did Barnes "screw us"? Must have missed something there.
To test the law of averages once when I was a teenager, I flipped a quarter 100 times and it landed on heads 62 times, and then did it again and it landed heads 43 times..so somewhere in those two hundred flips it was actually even...I just think this year we are having one of those weird runs where a lot of things are not going our way due to particular circumstances, if we hit on just a few different guys this class would have been way beyond the expectations of any rational fan. It will even out at some point, and we will start getting those classes more regularly. It's only 1 in 32 to get either 5 straight heads or 5 straight tails. There are two possible occurrences out of 32 of getting at least one run of 5 straight that is either heads or tails.
Loved Bob Bell. Did Bill King ever grow up?YEP.... could not miss that show.... that was during the time I actually lived in Guntersville, AL..... Who was the yankee with the other magazine? Bill something maybe.... I have reached the age where memory is an issue...
Used to strain my ears trying to hear the Bob Bell and Bill King radio show out of Nashville..... those were the days...
Would be the best class in years
7thAnyone care to see where we finish up on rivals if we do indeed land all 3 I’m curious @Bassmaster_Vol
