We have some nice looking bigger, longer receivers in Tillman and Ramel Keyton. Just because TJB is 5'11 doesn't mean he can't be a #1 a la Odell Beckham.Another small fast guy at wideout? I was hoping those days were over, they frequently get mugged at the LOS in the SEC and for sure can't bnock at the next level on LBs when it'sd a rushing play. Gve me a slower bigger guy like JJ.
Jarrett is the best receiver in this class. I really wanted him to be here. But TJB is elite as well. He and Hyatt would add some much needed speed to our wr room.We have some nice looking bigger, longer receivers in Tillman and Ramel Keyton. His tape isn't on the level of a Rakim Jarrett, but the kid separates nicely out of his breaks, he's slippery after the catch, and he has reliable hands and nice awareness with the ball in the air. He doesn't appear to have elite top end speed but he kind of reminds me of a young Jarvis Landry in that he's very reliable catching the ball across the middle of the field and he finds a way to separate because of crisp plant and break within his routes.
Just my 2 pennies on his tape.
I actually came away thinking TJB might be better. Both have nice film but TJB is in south Florida and he’s flying past people. All of our receivers (callaway, Palmer, Johnson, Jennings, Tillman, Keyton) are either 6’2-6’3 and are 200 ish except for Tillman and Jennings (210-215). Keyton lists at 189 but he’s probably more like 185 or less, explaining why he looks a lot smallerHe looks tiny compared to #1 & #15 which are both “bigger, longer receivers”.
Swain said that Gibbs has the talent to be a top 3 receiver in the SEC next year. He’s an elite athleteWR group right now
Seniors:
Byrd (5'11")
JJ (6'3")
B. Johnson (6'2") (redshirted will be back next season)
Callaway (6'2")
Juniors:
Gibbs (6'1")
Palmer (6'2")
Sophmore:
Collins (6'2")
Freshman:
Keyton (6'2")
Tillman (6'3")
Means (6'2")
TJB is closer to 6'0" than 5'11" and could potentially still grow some, since he's just a teenager. 4.5 guy playing in Florida against top talent and has run by you speed in his film. It's a no brainer take, anyone saying otherwise is just not paying attention.
