It's inflammatory. It causes fights and not necessary. No team is going to let another team, whether they won or not plant a flag on their field without a fight and mayhem. Your reward for winning the game is winning the game. Keep it moving.

People and therefore institutions tend to rise or fall to the level of expectation. As long as a majority of the American public sees government as a necessary evil that inherently has to suck, we will continue to have ineffectual governance. I get where you’re coming from, but that mentality does little more than let bad politicians off the hook.

I don't disagree, but that doesn't justify turning collegiate athletes who just won a huge football game into felons. A suspension for a game or two? Maybe. But this bill is absurd!

I haven't been a fan of this recent flag planting trend .... but some dumb overreach like this from a politician can easily change my mind.

Let's win the game and then stake a Power T flag at midfield, and then do one in both end zones for good measure.
