Drive. It's not as horrible as some would leave you to believe.

Check Miami----Arlanta and make the drive to Georgia and fly from there.

We are as well. Are you on the 10pm depart from TYS on 11/29?

Still seats available last time I checked.

I live in Dallas. I am flying Southwest out of Love Field.
I am flying on 12/29 because I don't trust the airlines enough to fly on the day of. Flights were very pricey in the first days after NYD, so I'm catching an early flight home on Jan. 5.

Plano here so know what it's like. Everytime I try to go to Miami, there is some sort of delay. Last Thanksgiving was supposed to be flying DFW-Miami-Lima Peru leaving Dallas at 8 am. Made it to Miami at 11:30 at night finally and plane to Lima long, long gone.

Miami's not a bad place to be for New Years. I'm pushing middle age these days though so my nightlife is seriously curtailed.

Spent many a NYE on South Beach. There's something for everyone there. Just don't kicked out of the Clevelander at about 11:45 on NYE for being obnoxiously drunk😀

Listen, I have no idea if this is feasible or not. Vols fans may be able to band together in groups of 25+ and charter a municipal or private flight to and from the game. I imagine in today's economy, such pilots would be eager for customers and you'd get a decent deal. Of course, this could be just another wild-azzed WoodsmanVol idea. I not only think outside the box, I jump out of it and carry the box over my head.

I am flying to Orlando and then driving.

Was just about to say.........if you'll check TYS to Sanford Airport (small airport outside Orlando) or TYS to Ft Myers they have Allegiant flights for cheap and the drive isnt that bad to Miami. Florida's turnpike straight down. They have direct flights and what I use when I go home to Gatlinburg to visit the folks. Yes, Allegiant is a cattle herder but its only like an 1.5 hr flight.

I drove non-stop from Cookeville to Miami (Kendall area) in 14 hours. Could have been faster, but the crew member I had to take down had to stop and get something to eat every 3 hours.

Hotel rooms aren’t easy to find either .. booked in ft Lauderdale as anything closer to game is a joke or not available for multiple beds

Check out Chattanooga airport or Atlanta as another option if you live in East/Middle TN (maybe NC airports too).

In Florida, look at Orlando, Sanford, Melbourne, West Palm, Tampa, Naples, Ft. Myers, St. Pete/Clearwater and Bradenton airports as destination options.

I bet if you do your homework, you can find affordable flights. Don't delay though!
