I drove non-stop from Cookeville to Miami (Kendall area) in 14 hours. Could have been faster, but the crew member I had to take down had to stop and get something to eat every 3 hours.

Seems like every other person I met for a few years there was from the Tampa area. Used those connections wisely for trips to Miami. Drive to Tampa from Atlanta-nice dinner, night out, then crash at someone's house. Wake up late, have lunch, maybe take a quick walk on the beach then hit the road. In Miami by sundown and ready to get the party started

Hotel rooms aren’t easy to find either .. booked in ft Lauderdale as anything closer to game is a joke or not available for multiple beds

Yep.
I'm staying 'cheap' by going with a place near Dania Beach for Friday and Saturday.

There’s usually a flight from SW Florida (fort myers) to Miami every 30 minutes. Just fly to ft myers and connect. If you like trains, take Amtrack
