Hard to say. I think Stoops would go conservative either way. But I do think it gave UF some motivation.

You're doing it wrong. We almost always beat KY.

Doesn’t matter when you use the two timeouts between 3 downs if you’re taking the third TO with you to end game in a last second FG scenario.

You said he was right to only call two timeouts in case he needed to ice the kicker if the FG was the final play of the game. If you get the stop like they did and call all three timeouts, you save about 40 additional seconds that you lose by saving a timeout. The reason for calling timeout on first and second down, instead of second and third, if you're thinking about icing a last-second FG, is that you leave open the possibility of using all three timeouts to preserve an extra 2:00 for yourself instead of an extra 1:20.
