Lol...at these analysts calling this a final 4 lock team. The best thing Mike White does is look mean. The best thing his teams do is throw up bricks.

Maybe "lock" is too strong of a word but they were easily consensus Top 10 in most everyone's preseason poll with national title aspirations. Can they improve? Absolutely. But they tend to be overrated most seasons especially under White. I would imagine we'll struggle with them though because they have started trying to pressure the ball like Florida State.

Florida basketball sucks right now! Hopefully Vols will beat them twice! Gators are not a lock for even Elite 8 or sweet 16!

Which, coincidentally is the deepest UT basketball has ever advanced in the NCAA Tournament.

But yes, our basketball team is painful to watch, unless you enjoy watching painful basketball.

White is the Basketball version of Kirby, recruits well, but terrible game day coach.

I'm praying that Sam Presti's incompetence leads to Billy getting fired so he can come home and coach on his court.

We get our shot at the Gators on Jan 25th in the Challenge. First we'll get a shot at Butler, who have already beat Florida, on Tuesday night in Waco. If things go as expected we will be Top Ten when the Challenge rolls around.

Both Barnes and White have earned their reputation for bringing in talent and underachieving in the post season.

Only Barnes has been at it much longer than White has.

And let’s not pretend that Barnes hasn’t underachieved consistently throughout his career.

White has taken UF deeper into the NCAA Tournament than Barnes has taken UT...and Barnes had you guys ranked #1 last season.

That said, our 2017 Elite 8 appearance looks like an anomaly based on White’s performance since then.

At this point they’re one in the same to me.

Except Barnes did it with players ranked 150-300 and White did it with players in the top 50-100.

They a average 35k visitors per week at Magnolia Silos.

There's a new $900 million industrial park in the planning stages which 80% is already contracted out and another 600 acres along I-35 and Hwy 6 that soon will be developed. It ain't your grandpa's Waco anymore.

I'm not going to dispute Barnes's underachievement come tournament time, but if you want to look at just their Tennessee and Florida tenures, White's is actually less impressive than Barnes's, IMO.

White didn't have a full-blown rebuilding job like Barnes had, and if he didn't make that Elite Eight in his second season, he would have done absolutely nothing at Florida. Barnes inherited a mess and at least won a regular season title in his 3rd year, played for a conference tourney title in his 3rd and 4th years, was ranked #1 for a while, and did it with lightly-recruited guys. Neither coach has really won anything, but at least Barnes has done some other things that are more impressive than White has.

White has also been really bad in the SEC Tourney too. Even that year he made the Elite Eight, he got bounced by Vandy as the 2 seed in the quarterfinal.
