1st one for class of 2011 -:dance2:A.C. Leonard - Yahoo! Sports

One pledge, however, A.C. Leonard, a junior ATH at Jacksonville Ribault, said he is out for now, but he still has until Feb. 2, 2011 before his signing day comes.

"I'm decommitting," Leonard told the Florida Times Union. "It's just too many changes, so I'm opening it back up."

Here's a possible (fingers crossed!)

Mack Brown Sr., the father of the touted running back Mack Brown Jr. of Lithonia, Ga., who is orally committed to Florida, said his son was now unsure of his college choice because of Meyer’s resignation. He hadn’t planned to take any official visits to other universities, but will now probably take some trips, Brown Sr. said.

“We really was looking forward to being a Gator,” Brown Sr. said in a telephone interview. “We’re really disappointed.”

After Meyer’s announcement, Brown Sr. said he and his son received calls from the Florida running backs coach, Kenny Carter, who tried to reassure them about the Gators.

“Everything’s up in the air right now,” Brown Sr. “We’re just going to take it one day at a time.”

FSU is going to be a strong player for many of these recruits as well as UGA. Hope we can snatch one or two from this class.

FSU is going through a lot of changes too. UGA still needs a whole new defensive staff.

We definitely come out of top with this one.

Don't forget that we have "hostess-gate" looming over our heads and we aren't sure how "widespread" the NCAA investigation can sweep.

I don't feel we'll suffer as badly as our adversaries think we will but, for them (NCAA) to still be talking to NuKeese, B. Brown and Oku about lasts years recruiting practices tells me that they're digging REAL deep to make CLK an example of "don't mess with us". Several articles I have read have one thing in common...they all want to wait and see what happens first.

Am I wrong or is it a dead period now? I think coaches can't contact recruits until after the 1st. Maybe this is different if a head coach is leaving.

Power vacuum in the SEC East. We will definitely have a field day with this stuff. Next decade is ours!

FSU will be the dominant Florida program. Book it

Slime or NCAA won't touch the Gators. They will get a great replacement I am sure. CUM wants to stay with UF, so a new coach will have that to deal with. I just hope the cumulative effect of coaching changes don't have someone raid our coaching staff, as the FSU changes resulted in. We could get some recruits as a result, but so will some of our rivals. But it would be great for the Gators to flounder for a few years and open a door for the VOLS.

I think what he's saying is that UF needs to make a great hire and it needs to be quick. They'll lose not only Tebow and the rest of those SR's but also some Jrs... maybe even some Jrs that were previously teetering.

Jimbo Fisher has credibility and a recruiting head start on whoever they choose. UM seems to be getting it together. USF could use this opening to finally land some of the best players in the Tampa area away from UF. USF could become the dominant team in the Big East... all they need is an opening for a little more next level talent.

Over and above all this, CLK is doing alot of things to get UT back to the top. UGA isn't sitting still. USC is closer than they've been. Auburn routinely raids FL for good players.

Unless UF has been working on a replacement for several weeks now then this is a huge opportunity for the SEC East and other FL teams.

Coaches can make only 1 call to recruits during the dead week. Recruits can call coaches as often as they want though--just like any other time.

Apparently they have a lot of things they are dealing with, like a bunch of class action lawsuits about likeness rights on EA games. Joe McKnight was driving a booster's SUV, they have that to deal with, still have other investigations going on at Memphis, Michigan, Bama, etc.

UT is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things and the University is still yet to receive an official letter of inquiry.

I'm beginning to question whether you are actually a UT fan or a troll in disguise!

What investigation? To be INVESTIGATED, the program has to receive a formal notice. Not even a notice of inquiry has been forthcoming, so where are you getting all this bad info from? That NYT jerk, who has blatantly exaggerated the circumstances to juice up the story?

Miami has a better shot at being the dominant Florida program than FSU does.

Will the UT hostesses be able to work with recruits that have de-committed from UF?
