Florida Doesn't Like This Draw

I'm a big Villanova fan but they haven't played good basketball in several weeks. I was at the DePaul game and they won in OT.

Florida would beat 'Nova if they played tomorrow.

Florida has a big body in the middle that can finish and protect the rim, a pg that can shoot and penetrate, and a spot up shooter in clearasil Chandler parsons that will actually go after a rebound rather than watching. I'm sure Cam is excited about potentially leaving Parsons open on friday.

The reason they arent national championship caliber is because they arent great at any area and their overall physicality and toughness is not great.

UF has been successful in close games vs. teams seeded outside the top 32.

They'll get steamrolled by the 3rd round of the NCAA.

Florida is playing the best ball in the conference right now and is a good draw away from making it to the second Saturday/Sunday.

Based on seed, that's where there run is supposed to end.

Also, they are 5-2 against the rpi top 25

i don't like the draw because it looks like we could be playing 9 games this season against UT, Vandy and UK. it's really hard to go 8-1 versus that group of opponents.

The Gators aren't world-beaters by any stretch of the imagination but their size, depth, experience and 13-2 record against projected NCAA tournament teams says to me they can play with anyone. We've won 8 of our last 9 and are playing our best basketball despite our leading scorer in a prolonged shooting slump. that says to me that if he gets his shot back sometime during the post season that we're going to be a very hard out.

Only thing I can say is "if" we get past arkansas, is that it is hard to beat a team 3 times in 1 season. So I could see where FL doesn't like the draw.

They need to beat Arkansas first and they have a little guard just like all the other ones that have ran up and down the floor on UT this year. So getting to Florida first should be the task at hand.

Probably hopped on board in the early 90's, when it was revealed to the world that Florida actually had a football program.

UF Class of 1990

Gator fan since the late 70s.

The OP stepped out on a limb and it broke.

I don't like UF's chances against UK in what usually amounts to a home game at the SECT final, but I'm damn proud of how this team developed throughout the season.

Whether we can hang with Pitt or 'Nova is irrelevant seeing as how none of us know what the draw looks like...but I guess haters gotta hate.

UF was 2-0 against UT in the 80s and 2-2 in the 70s.

However you did own us before color TV and integration....congrats.

Florida tearing through their side of the bracket doesn't mean they had a good draw.

Would you have rather played Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky (as the bracket was) or Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky (as it would've been without divisional seeds).

Just because you beat us (even comfortably, with that killer second half) doesn't mean we were your easiest draw or the one you were looking for.

I think most people agreed the disparity between the East and West teams put whoever won the East at a disadvantage.

The SEC needs to do away with divisional seeding.
