Florida fans on swampgas hoping game is cancelled..

They will reschedule the game regardless of what Florida's fans think. However, as a fan, I would much rather play a big conference game than a cupcake. I don't get their attitude? You only get a few big home games a year and then have to suffer through the cupcake games. If our Alabama game was cancelled, I would rather make it up and drop a cupcake even if it risked our chances of making the SEC championship. Hoping for a back door into the SEC Championship game is such a loser mentality!

Apparently CBJ just said on the radio "They have to play this game. I trust the SEC to get this right."

That's what finebaum just said anyway

Wonder how this affects recruiting? Can they not reschedule to the SEC championship weekend since they won't be playing in it? Maybe the Thursday before our SEC Championship game...

That's what they're hoping. We lose two and they win out that they will be playing in it.

No way Florida wins out against Arky and GA. That Arky team is damn good and GA keeps improving. So if they indeed go 6-1, who can say they wouldn't have gone 7-1 ?
I still think they ll lose to GA and Arky both !! and LSU too if rescheduled.

Vols handle business and cruise into Atlanta to beat bama for the 2nd time(if they can make it there). Florida is a non factor.

It is pitiful for fans of any team being glad to not play a game. I'm not sure what that is called, but coward comes to mind.

There is no way if UF has a 6-1 conference record and we have a 6-2 conference record, UF will go instead of us. Do they really think that? lol. And embarrassing! Why not just play at LSU?? Pansies. Didn't South Carolina happily do that last year?

And. Besides. UF will still lose to Arkansas and UGA. So doesn't really matter

Yep. I think Arkansas handles them easy, and maybe Georgia.

Florida may have the worst offense in the sec - they will lose to Arkansas, Uga and maybe Missouri

This is a myth and has been disproven by multiple people

You are right it is percentage

But they have fulfill the required 8 conference games. If they don't, and this game goes canceled, then they can't be considered for the SEC championship.

Again, doesn't matter.

The rules state they have to play EIGHT SEC games, if they don't play eight, they don't get to be considered for the championship.

We Go. End of discussion.

On another thread someone said the winning percentage controls-- what's the real story?

As per the SEC website and rulebook, the following determines the divisional winners of the SEC:

"The participants of the game are determined each year during the eight-game regular-season conference schedule as the teams with the best overall SEC winning percentage in each division."

Got to have 8 games. If they don't, they don't get to go.

It really is. LSU gave them a chance to play the game and they opted out. What a bunch of candy azzes.

lsu would have pounded florida by 13+----fla fans' prayers have been answered.

They both play OOC opponents on November 19th. Reschedule it for then, pansies.

Yeah, so apparently per ESPN UF offered to cancel that game against Presbyterian on Nov 19 and play LSU then, but LSU refused it.

I guess they feel they really need that South Alabama win?
