Awesome place Lawrence :hi:

Thanks friend.

As I get older, the desire to wake up early, gas up the car, pack a cooler, drive to Gainesville, find a parking spot, set up the tailgate, break down the tailgate, then bake for 3+ hours in Gainesville's Aug/Sep heat isn't as appealing as rolling out of bed at 9:00 and never leaving the pool/patio until College Football Final ends at midnight.

No designated driver required.

So no bye week at all? While obviously not a UF fan that pretty much sucks for those kids.

There's been no official word on if or when the game will be rescheduled.

What sucks is our offense needed the reps last night, not late October.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

East side! Waterford Lakes area near some of the golf courses.

How is it in Ocoee/Winter Garden? I know a few folks who live over there and seem to like it. I've contemplated moving out to the western side of Orlando in the future. I feel the drive to work (control tower at the airport) would suck however.

We love it on the west side. I lived in Oviedo from '94 to '02. Moved to MetroWest in '03 and got the hell out in '11 before Pine Hills completely took over.

Been in Ocoee since then.

Love the area...close to the Turnpike and only 90 minutes from Gainesville. 414 and 429 are close by, so rarely do I need to deal with I-4.

My gym is there in Oviedo. From what I've seen its not too bad of an area. I've contemplated there or your neck of the woods. I could dig being near 429. I love playing Orange County National. And thats a nice easy shot to Disney because thats pretty much why everyone visits me..damn Disney World.

I lived in St.Cloud for a year and was ready to eat a bullet :eek:lol: Turrrrible.

MetroWest sort of looks ok but once you get into the thick of things it goes south fast. Was it nice back in 2003? A coworker lives there and does nothing but complain about crime. My only experience is going to the Teak Neighborhood grill because they make some insane hamburgers.

Good Lord man...I lived in Stonebridge right across the street from Teak. Small world!

MetroWest was the place to be for singles in the late 90s and early 00s. Bought a townhouse there in '03 and lived the bachelor's life. Closed down Teak on many a Friday night.

The neighborhood turned around '08 and '09 when the real estate bubble popped. Condo and TH owners were upside down and started renting out to riff raff. Apartment complexes on Kirkman Road became Section 8 properties.

And then there's that WalMart on Kirkman and MetroWest...

Your co-worker has a legitimate beef about living there.

So, 79...

Got a spare bedroom when I go to Epcot? I'll bring my own towels.

Sadly thats going to kill a neighborhood quick. They just built some really nice homes near the airport (Conway), $400k+..across the street from Section 8. Makes no sense.

I've never hung out at Teak other than for a quick dinner but it seems like it would be cool to be at. I tend to stick to Winter Park and the downtown area..trying to find a nice girl with a Pharmacy degree.

And Kirkman..you hear so much bad stuff on the news involving that street.

Yeah, Kirkman used to be the dividing line between Crime Hills and MetroWest. West of Kirkman was good, east of Kirkman up to I-4...very bad.

Now the riffraff is crossing over into MetroWest...genie is out of the bottle...
