Florida looks to learn a new offense

we had 25 yards of offense after 3 quarters against miami of ohio.

scored 7 points or less against fsu, miss state, alabama, and i'm going to count south carolina (because while the scoreboard says 14, 7 came on a kickoff return).

the only good news (and call me arrogant if you want), but florida's struggles had nothing to do with the opponent whoever it may be.

Not saying yaw's O was good last year...just not as bad as our's in 05 and certainly not 08.

Tennessee 05 Rank 97 with 340 ypg.
08 rank 116 with 268 ypg.

Fl last year was 82 with 350 ypg.

Not very far ahead of 05 but WAY better than our 08 clawfense fiasco.

i bet Gator fans are going to have very little patience with the offense, considering theyve gotten to watch a very effective and exciting spread offense for several years now. its not going to be easy to learn a pro style offense, when your team has been built, entirely, for the spread.

Clearly you didn't watch UF's offense the past two seasons.

The struggles will now be fitting a square peg in a round hole so to speak on offense.

Also, Muschamp is going to go through some growing pains, be it on the field coaching or recruiting.

You all need to be patient down there in the Swamp

8-4 in 2011 (South Carolina wins the East again)
9-3 in 2012 (We battle you guys for the East)

After that who knows.....

Florida was 82nd in the nation in total offense last year, 43rd in scoring. That isn't overly effective or exciting.

Upset...Other than the game being played at fl it's gonna be hard to be considered an upset.

It would be a significant upset. Florida still has better players than UT. Florida will almost certainly enter the game ranked; UT will almost certainly not. The Swamp is a huge advantage. A Tennessee win would be an indication of Florida coaching either not being fully implemented or not being very good or some combination of both.

Dont know why they would be ranked.Cant be based off of last years record.Their head coaches record?I'm not saying fl is gonna suck but they very well might.

You're right about playing in fl is a advantage.Right now I'd say UT a 3 point dog.

All I know is I am 22 years old, and the last time we beat these guys I was in Jr. High. I do not care what they run as long as we stop them, and Bray plays good enough to lead us to victory. Obviously we couldn't beat the spread so hopefully this change will be a good thing.

Did you get held back or something? I'm 21 and I was a sophomore in HS.

Simms was the qb then, he's a clip board holder now. Bray's going to light you guys up in a major way and floyd won't be laying a hand on Bray, he'll be too busy picking himself up off the ground.

lol...if you guys couldn't beat a lameduck staff with J Brantley at QB while playing at home then you WON'T win in the swamp...Bray hasn't beat a good time while starting at QB...Vandy,Memphis and Tenn School for Deaf aren't good wins. UF still has better players at this point.....UF by 10. FYI Powell, SF, Martin will start against this year! :clapping:

If we have any running game established at the close of the 1st quarter and Bray has no INT's I wouldn't be suprised if we beat you by 14. We have too many weapons for you to stop them all if we just get passed your line and don't stop ourselves.

If you guys needed a trick play to beat Simms and a bunch of true freshman with no backups then I'd say you have the worrying to do.

we had new starters at QB,TE,OG/T....two DE and LB and one CB so don't even start with that freshmen crap....UT used that "frehsmen" stuff all year when they played better teams....trick play won the game? lmao

Do you remember last year's game vs Florida....anytime they needed to move the ball or get a key 3rd down conversion...they went to the pro style offense and were successful almost every time. Not hating just remembering

I remember the conversions, but not the pro style sets you speak of.

It may not have won it, but the fake punt changed a lot. Ya'll don't get that, and the game very well could have had ended differently.
