We have this conversation every season. Once again, you are correct. 1992 was the only year it mattered that Tennessee played Alabama in the regular season, while Florida didn't.In the almost 30 year existence of the SEC Championship Game, UT having to play Bama every year in the regular season...unlike UF and UGA...has mattered maybe once.
UT hasnt been in a position for it to matter, and when UT was dominating everyone but UF in the 90s, playing Bama every year didn’t matter.
In 1995 and 1996, Tennessee was the 2nd best team in the SEC, but their hindrance to the SEC Championship Game (aside from losing to Florida) was the SEC's divisional format, rather than the structured scheduling. The 1995 SEC Championship Game could have been a top 4 matchup. Instead, a very undeserving Arkansas team played Florida in Atlanta.
You really do beat this subject to death though, LW. Literally for years you have harped on this topic. You are kind of boring, quite frankly.
