Florida Looks Very Beatable

In the almost 30 year existence of the SEC Championship Game, UT having to play Bama every year in the regular season...unlike UF and UGA...has mattered maybe once.

UT hasnt been in a position for it to matter, and when UT was dominating everyone but UF in the 90s, playing Bama every year didn’t matter.
We have this conversation every season. Once again, you are correct. 1992 was the only year it mattered that Tennessee played Alabama in the regular season, while Florida didn't.

In 1995 and 1996, Tennessee was the 2nd best team in the SEC, but their hindrance to the SEC Championship Game (aside from losing to Florida) was the SEC's divisional format, rather than the structured scheduling. The 1995 SEC Championship Game could have been a top 4 matchup. Instead, a very undeserving Arkansas team played Florida in Atlanta.

You really do beat this subject to death though, LW. Literally for years you have harped on this topic. You are kind of boring, quite frankly.

Florida is really bad this year and won't finish top 2, most likely they will get knocked off by KY or Missouri, possibly TN. They just suck.
And Bama, UGA and FSU.....would 6-6 get Danny Boy fired?

That’s a long winded response to a boring topic, but thanks for chiming in.

“Oh how I wish UF and UGA had to play Bama every year.”

That’s the quote that took us down this road.

Best case for you guys UF and UGA would have one more regular season loss. That’s about it. Worst case we would see exactly what’s happened 27 out of 29 times since divisions were created.

It’s just a weak argument that would get laughed at and shot down anywhere but here. But you’re right, every year it comes up, and it’s a cop out excuse that can be easily disproved.

History tells us UT playing Bama every October rarely affects the East race.

FYP. Even Mullen ain't turning Enory Jones into anything.

Sadly I agree. If you aren't firing on all cylinders after 4 years in the system, there is no fixing to be done in few weeks. AR15 is just physically more gifted in every way, and seems to be just as good in the passing department, and a great story for a local Gainesville boy to shine.

Emory sucks, Richardson is the future goat, so based on all available past data I can predict that Richardson will be starting right around..

The UT game.
