Florida or Alabama?

I'd rather see Florida win the SEC than Alabama. I live in Alabama and hate hearing about Jesus Saban all the damn time. I'm going to pull for whoever plays them in the title game anyway.

Bama and Florida make me sick. But everybody outside the south makes me even sicker. Every other region puts us down. I've lived all over and the way other folks look at us in general ***ses me off.

Can you quantify that opinion? If you have a good argument besides just your hatred of other SEC schools. I will give it to you.

we recruit in the states where the other SEC schools are. The better they look the harder it is for us to pull the kids. Add that to competing against a defending champ and we're working even harder

The national champ benefits for several years on the recruiting and money raising front. Is there any other reason to hope they lose?

Good point. But what about postseason recognition? If the conf doesnt do well, individual rankings suffer.

How does the success of Florida, Bama, or LSU (Have to throw them in there since they won it a couple of years ago) translate to success for any other SEC school? Their success doesn't get another team anywhere unless you beat them then it looks better. At the end of the day they see 6-5 Tennessee not oh tennessee is in the SEC therefore they are a step up from from every other school.

But if we are 11-1 it does matter. The overall percieved strength of the SEC could be (and has been) the difference in SEC teams getting a shot at the BCS title game.

The Tennessee Vols don't benefit one bit from either one of these jerk wad schools winning the title. Go Texas. It will only help them recruit better as if they need it. All the same i'm tired of both of them.

I get what McGill is saying.

If the SEC performs well, it strengthens the argument down the road for a 1-loss SEC team to make the BCS title game if there are no other unbeaten teams.

From a UT fans' perspective, that argument means squat during a 7-5 campaign, and the last thing you guys want to see is that FG block over and over again should Bama run the table.
