2 questions.

Depending on their hire and time line how high in the rankings do you think the new coach can climb.

Second do we have any recruits that might be in jeapordy of flippinh with a better coach at UF?

Obviously both scenarios would depend on who and when but I thought it was a good subject to kick around.

If Freeze leaves for UF I could see him taking a lot of recruits with him. In a big reversal of fortunes for both schools.

Hire could happen as early as Tuesday.


If its Freeze or Mora the class could get rolling very quickly.

I'm not too worried about it. Butch has shown that he is one of the best recruiters in the game.

Idk if I would say he's overrated. The man can recruit so there will definitely be no shortage of talent, and he's shown that he can coach decently well giving Saban his only loss this season.

My brother says your big insider is dropping hints using Mora's kids names.

He obviously thinks Jim is leaving UCLA. Makes sense since Hundley is gone after this year.

Honestly I think it's gonna be Doc Holliday. With the way the CFP rankings are coming out, it seems unlikely for even an undefeated smaller conference team to even make in the 4 spots. So anytime a coach from a smaller school gets offered, they will jump at the opportunity right away. And that means bigger schools can get a "hot up and comer" for really cheap.

Yeah read that on ITG. Guy connected in Atl said a former Falcon told him yesterday Mora will be next HC at UF. Same agent

I am up early getting ready for golf course but I am confused as hell. First is this vol nation or gator nation? And why the assumption that we lose recruits if they hire a name coach? No faith in butch? If freeze was going to get our recruits he would have already done so. I rate this post an F!.

I also noticed that Dooley had grown a light beard while I was watching the Dallas game yesterday, maybe he's hoping no one recognizes who he is and offers him the UF job. :)

I really believe Mora is an ultimate west coast guy...Florida is a better job, of course...just on the wrong side of the country.

Think Mora is a good recruiter and energy guy but his coaching doesn't really scare me. I also think he's a west coast guy.

What the hell is the love fest with Hugh Freeze?

Just because he illegally recruited and signed a top class, doesn't make him a great coach.

He's made several bone headed decisions this year just from a play calling standpoint.

I'm not sold and I think it would be a bad hire.

Why am I complaining? I actually think they should hire him then......

Ole Miss' little day in the sun is over!
