Florida Schools: DEI Abolished

I would say as a resident of the South, it is more racist. There are truths that the south had to have federal troops to force integration. I'm sure we can find pockets in other random places, but as a whole, I would argue race played a huge part. Could be the changing demographics, more black and Hispanic moving in as the south opened up. I wouldn't say they lost a stronghold, but the party platforms shifted more. The old Dixiecrats were not liberals in the democratic sense lol. I think, more than anything, the forced integration of the South over the 20-25 years after the civil rights movement, Reagan as a strong conservative candidate, and the Souths wishes for small government made the switch. But like anything, if you're around long enough, it'll switch back the other way as parties change their platforms, beliefs, candidates. Just like now, there has to be another conservative movement that competes with MAGA. What will that be? Will that be over time the right/centrist Democrats and standard Republicans get a new party while the Democrats turn left and more progressive. Something has to change-Repubs have won the pop vote 1 time since 1992. They realize that. What is the next change in parties and how does power switch. It's very interesting

You must have never spent anytime in the northeast. If you have then you would know the south is far from the most racist area of the country.

Lol. Point taken. I have. I actually have a good friend that travels that said he was never more humiliated through a racist tirade than in Chicago, and he said Boston was extremely vocal about their intolerance lol.
Here in the South seems to be a little more pleasant, subdued in our racism. Maybe that's due to it being baked into society for so long

if anything its because there is more exposure/interaction down in the south.

Its easy to not be considered racist when you literally never interact with another race.

Every southern state has at least a 10% AA population. There are 21 states with more than 10%, more than half of those states are in the south. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia. 11.

Then you have the south adjacent states like Maryland and Missouri also over 10%, Kentucky is the one odd ball without a large AA population.

Define dumpster fire. Overwhelmingly, most violent and least safe cities are small towns and a majority of those are in the South. Anniston, Alabama isn't exactly a blue city
You must not understand the law of large numbers

Enlighten me

What Is the Law of Large Numbers?

The law of large numbers, in probability and statistics, states that as a sample size grows, its mean gets closer to the average of the whole population. This is due to the sample being more representative of the population as the sample become larger.

Are you saying that these statistics they used are wrong?

I’m saying the sample size of Anniston, AL is very small when compared to cities such as Chicago, Baltimore, Memphis, etc..and
that as a sample size grows, its mean gets closer to the average of the whole population.

Isn't that the reason they do per capita? Per 100k according to their stats, Anniston would be x. As they increase, that per capita would stay in line so you can compare larger populations to smaller by taking into per equal amounts?

Draw an ellipse with foci between Harlan and Maynardville. Segregated, looked down upon, . Not necessarily denied rights, but dignity.
In my experience those in Virginia aren't denied dignity and haven't been for quite a while. They're treated like everybody else.
I can't speak first hand on Tennessee and Kentucky but folks I've known from Hancock County didn't seem to hold any prejudices against them.
