Bingo. I've said for years that the National Championship matchups and story lines are manufactured. Look at 2008, Florida AND Bama got extremely questionable late calls that saved both of them from losses and in my opinion to keep them undefeated for a 1 vs 2 SEC title game. Happened to Texas the following year in the Big 12 championship game, refs gave them an extra second to kick that field goal. Happened with Auburn and the questionable circumstance around Cam Netwon, hottest thing in football at the time and you can bet money the NCAA wasn't going to sit that cash cow. This is only really something I've noticed in the BCS era, though I'm sire you could find plenty of examples.
An economics professor I have who studies Vegas lines like he works there thinks the game is rigged in Miami's favor.
His reason being that FSU'S -2 Line is moving in Miami's favor despite more people betting on FSU. This only happens when Vegas is anticipating a massive upset. An example? Texas vs WVU last week, it happened for that game. Texas won. Florida vs Miami last year, happened for that game. Miami won.
He says due to the big shake ups in the SEC, the powers that be want FSU out so another SEC team can sneak it's way back in.
He went on a lot more, but I don't have time to write it all. it's a very intriguing theory.
If Florida State loses, then don't forget this thread
