Even now, people just seem to realize how talented that 98 team was. It wasn't the most offensively dynamic, but front to back, it would stack up with about anybody.
FL's front 7 is good, but I think the TN '98 team was better...and that's saying a lot.
Well, I agree.
I was mainly talking about how ESPN was bad-mouthing us and spinning our NC after the fact, but I do think our '98 D was better.
That said, I think, in tonight's game, UF's D played far better than our arguably more talented '98 D team did. I also think that tonights UF O had more basic talent, but only played as good and consistently as our '98 O did.
The difference tonight was psychological, and, ironically, the team which has been weakest psychologically all year was the one which not only came out and took names, but crushed gonads.
ESPN couldn't successfully spin-away the gleam from the Vols' NC despite (technically) more ammunition, and I don't think any crap they launch against UF or in favor of OSU will be able to overcome the simple fact of OSU's glaring mental breakdown
