Florida vs Tennessee Preview

I'm not so sure about that. The students are back from break because classes start Wednesday.
There's already 5 inches of snow on the ground in Knoxville, sleet and rain expected tonight and all day tomorrow. That's just in the valley, worse in the surrounding areas. The game is also at 9 pm which is pretty late as far as that goes. I see it being like the Memphis game, which is game you'd expect our fans to show up for just like this one.

I hope I'm wrong though as TBA has been disappointing this year.

I have season tickets, but I'm sitting here an hour away in 5 inches of snow and can't get up my drive way. I am still debating if the trip will be worth it, or should I stay warm and just watch on TV. I do not expect a large crowd at the game as all outlying areas have really bad weather.

I encourage everyone go make the trip to the game. I was driving all around the campus area yesterday in my tiny Nissan and had no problems. If you're not an idiot, the driving isn't treacherous.

Unbiased opinion, my ass.

Tennessee takes it 88-79 to make it 6 straight over UF in Knoxville.

I think UF is better right now, but I'd say you all will win just because we cannot win at Thompson-Boling Arena.

I would disagree with calling any UT opponent this year "better [sans phrase]."

These will be true of everyone we play this year (except Auburn):

1. If the good UT shows up, UT is better.

2. If the bad UT shows up, the opponent is better.

I can see a UF ass kicking!

BUT.......UT plays better against better teams.

UT 88
UF 79

GO VOLS!

I think its a blowout. This team seems pretty easy for me to read. They show up for big games and try to slide by bad teams. This is a big game. Don't want to go down 0-2 in SEC, at home, gameday is there, and were playing Florida.

Throw in the fact that Bruce Pearl teams have dominated Florida I see no reason Tennessee doesn't come out and run them out the gym. I don't think Tony Jones coaching changes that. Bruce is coaching this team till 7 tonight so it will be his gameplan and I think Tony Jones can execute it. VB

If we had one tiny thing to fix, then I might buy that we can hold serve. But we don't. We have major things to fix, and we don't have our head coach in the building.

1. We get blown by too much on the perimeter.
2. We rotate about as well as a warped floor fan.
3. When we do help, we afterwards don't extend back out on the three-point shooter.
4. We brick too many easy paint attempts on offense.
5. We are too slow to pass the ball to the open man, and then end up missing the opportunity altogether, or else force the pass after the man is no longer open.
6. Then we all pout and hang our collective heads if we miss an assignment, or if we miss a shot, or if we don't get the ball when we're open.

We'll fix one or two of these things tonight, but it won't be all of them. Judging from the comments in recent articles, the focus this week is on needless turnovers. So, my guess is turnovers will be down tonight.

I don't think there's any hope we can defend Florida's ballscreen offense, though.

Florida by a dozen.

Is this Jay Bilas, In your opening post your said the Gators win. Now you seem to have changed your opinion like Bilas does on a regular basis.

It's no longer about our athletic ability it's more about our mental ability. Will we be focused tonight?

Good job, you have the basketball prowess of a middle of the pack mid-major program.

If you guys were worth a damn, you would have been beaten.

LOLOLOLOLOLOL. 81-75 hahahaha. GOOOOOOO GATORS!!!

You're as mature as the woman (I say that lightly) who was behind the TV crew.

Congrats on the win, but you're not going to make many friends acting like this over an OT win against the most schizophrenic basketball team I have ever seen.

I'm normally not like that, but you all ran your mouths so much, I did it.

You came onto a UT forum. What did you expect...a bunch of Tennessee fans slurping Billy Donovan?

I've been on here for a looooonnnngggg time and haven't been bashed like this. You all played surprisingly well, but you just obviously didn't get the hint you had to guard Chandler Parsons.

Meh, I have a hard time predicting great things for us this year if Parsons is the key guy on the Gator squad.
