Murfreesboro Traffic: A 10 minute drive turns into a 30 minute drive.

Murfreesboro is growing so fast their engineering department will never catch up. Same way with 65 south from Moores Lane to 840. Once this round of construction is done, another will start within 4 years to expand again.

Construction plans for Murfreesboro:

1. Mess up the roads
2. Take your sweet time fixing it

Veterans Parkway has been under construction for 6-8 months!

You should move north, then you could have a reason to complain about road construction.

i think most lights are programmed to take this into account. On the flip side, it's obnoxious sitting at a light to take a left on to the state road at 5:30 am for 3 minutes, nary a car in sight, knowing damn well that barney fife is waiting for me to lose patience and just go.

amen!

Then your city's engineering department needs to be disbanded. But I can't believe that's actually the case.

Take a look at a map of York Pa. George st goes north south through the center of town. South of town center you will see Jackson, Cottage, College and Princess streets. These are all the side streets coming out of residential areas. George Street is the main thoroughfare but all the lights default to green for the side streets and only turn green when you approach. We have two east west primary roads that are one way. Market street goes east and Philadelphia goes west, both are one way multi - lane roads and all their lights default to the side streets. There are some major intersections with timed or controlled lights but the majority are set up to slow things down (or so it appears).

You want to see roads worthy of complaint come to Pennsylvania! You get to pay about 70 cents more per gallon of gas and ruin your tires as well.

Connecticut isn't impressed with your sob story.

What do you have, like 200 miles of bad roads? Please, we have nearly 40,000 miles of bad roads and something like 1000 bridges about to collapse. I drive 25 short miles to work and every road along the way had been under construction for years. crazy.

I remember 84 in PA being under construction for years, the whole length. It took seemingly 20 years to finish but it's a nice ride now. 81 South of HHarrisburg seems to have been being worked on for much of my adult life as well.

Should've seen Atlanta this morning, especially with a 3 car wreck (2tractor trailers). Its bad down there, and in my part of Georgia all the time. Its everyday I get behind somebody doing 10-15 mph below the limit.

Going West on 40 coming out of downtown is a pain almost every single day at 5pm. People merging from 640 feel like they have to merge right away and act like they don't have a little over a mile (with 2 lanes) to merge before Papermill.
