Same crap was said about Kiffen, and dooley. Sunshine pumpers need to give people a little slack for being a little skeptical. Butch Jones may be the coach that brings us back but frankly nobody knows. Skepticism foes not equal Negavol.

I've yet to see a "fire Jones" post. Most fans lie between "negative Nancy" and "sunshine pumper." Jones might turn out to be great, but he has not made many improvements on the field so far. He will also have to hold on to that good recruiting class by the time signing day arrives. We can only hope he is the answer.

You are right no fire Butch Jones threads...yet.

But take note, this is the earliest I have seen threads or posts regarding How long should we give him threads. Others have posted or thread started that he is not the right guy for the job.

Sometimes I do believe that we are our own worst enemy. I don't mind dissent, but we are 4 games into his tenure and judgement will come quicker that it is due but it doesn't make it right.

Do recruits view this threads. We would be crazy to think that they did not...If I were committed or thinking about it I would definitely come to a free site that would give me information about myself and other players and the team.

Most importantly we have witnessed a good coach (Fulmer) put to rest. It was time for him to go. He was replaced by a Snake Oil salesman looking for a job and waiting on one at USC.

Then we hired a lawyer admin guy that micromanaged and I believe was a control freak. He assisted in dealing with the NCAA investigation.

Bottom line, Hamilton did raise money for the University and nobody complained until he ran it into the ground with hires. For example, I witnessed major contributors pick up the phone and call Hamilton at the end of a game to demand the firing of an asst. coach. Then saw the results of that conversation.

I felt Hamilton had a vested interest in this program, he didn't, I do and still support the AD. The Unversity's hires I will always support until they prove me different.

Someone question how much money we were paying CBJ and staff, they believed we could do better and that we were not getting our money's worth. Really? .

An early criteria in the Coaching search was "SEC experience". That was changed. We might still be looking if we had kept this criteria.

I admire CBJ and the staff that followed him here. He knew he was 3rd choice already had another job in waiting but took on a challenge that most did/would not.

The only thing that matters is that the players and recruits are buying into it. Hopefully the doubting fans will follow. It does not hurt to be wrong. Does it?

Dooley 2.0 I don't think so. Coach Speak, yea he is a coach and he is speaking, but it isn't the same ole coach speak.

Did he leave Peterman in too long? Yes. Should he have gone for it several times on 4th and 1. Probably. He is the head coach and knows this team's ability better than any poster on this board.

But that is simple board talk and part of it so we live with the decisions he makes because he is the HMFIC and the coach. We can question all day long, its ok but don't sell me the crap that he is not a good coach or that the job rests on the fact that we are only 2-2 at a point we all knew we would be 2-2. Let the season play out.

Evaluations of each game as to coaching and player performance is fair game in my opinion. Making a conclusion as to long term success or failure based on one or four games is wrong.
