I missed the first 2 innings. Family gathering. Does anyone have a link to footage of the come-backer that hit Dollander? Any word on how serious it might be?

He was a problem last night and today. Go look up Dr Jerry Punch on twitter. He even called him out. Dude has an ego. And i wanna invite him to Waffle House and stomp him out.
But hey did Anderson get tossed? Vitello only came out after Anderson was tossed. Anderson didn’t leave the bench till after Doollander was hurt.

I don’t like to speculate but if I had to guess, he probably fractured a bone. I remember Charlie Morton in the World Series this past year get hit in the leg and it looked a lot less impactful than Dollander’s but his fibula got fractured. I gained a whole new level of respect for that man though. He went out and got 3 outs after it had been fractured. Struck out 2 of those 3 batters. Injury occurs at 25 seconds and his last pitch is at 7 minutes.

My guess is Dollander may be lost for the year. That looked like it was solid contact with the elbow, hope I'm wrong about it. What would be interesting to know is what did Anderson say that got him tossed, same with Vitello. As for the hitter intentionally hitting Dollander, when you swing a bat and make contact with the ball, it's up to physics at that point. I'll have to watch a replay of the game to see if it's possible to hear what the Alabama dugout chatter was. If they were being classless, as I suspect, I think both coaches had a legitimate complaint about the things being said. Tony protecting his guys, totally get that. I hate he will get a suspension, hope the conference office doesn't try to make an example of him.

Lost for the year? You have no info at all and your assumption is the worst assumption you can have. Interesting.

It’s suspected that he has a fractured elbow. Just speculation until tests confirm, but if true that sounds like 4 months just to return to normal activity. I hope I’m wrong but he’s def lost for the year if it is a fracture.

Its being talked about... Dollander is likely done for the year. The ball hit him in the elbow of his throwing arm.

They were sending him for tests to determine a possible fracture. If it’s fractured he’s done for the year. I’d say they are more than a little concerned with it.
What they are doing is standard dude. He could have a deep bone bruise or elbow sprain. Or yes it could be fractured, but nobody is acting like that’s the case. Stop spreading rumors.

Hopefully it’s just a bone bruise. But even that won’t be a quick turn around. I hope he pitches next week. I’m just acknowledging the possibility we are without him for an extended time, and yes the year is possible.

If Dollander is out, I don’t think Tidwell is stretched out enough to go too long. Maybe you start him on one of the weekend games, but only pitch him 4 or 5 innings, then put Sewell in.

Or maybe next weekend is when Halvorsen makes his debut. Combine Blade and Seth as one weekend “starter.”
