aww, lighten up. I'm okay, you're okay. The world is still spinning on its axis. There is no reason to get so worked up over a message board.

You need to practice what you preach.

I understand that through a deep and abiding love of the Vols some of you are already beyond the disappointments of this football season. Others of us are not and probably will not be for quite some time. If you are not willing to deal with some criticism of the program then stay away from the football posts for a few months. Everyone should have a voice here as long as they are not abusive. I would say that any objective person who reads this thread in its entirety can easily surmise that several of you resorted to personal attacks on me, even though you know nothing about me or my general demeanor, simply becasue you don't like what I have to say. I have seen the same thing happen over and over to other people who are critical of the program. If the program cannot stand up to some criticism from hacked-off fans coming off a bad year then it is not much of a program IMO. :wavey:

Good lord, is this another "Woe is me...everyone makes fun of us who don't blindly support UT" blah blah

How many of these worthless posts will be put on here?

You can critcize Fulmer/UT all you want...just quit making a new thread of the same crap so we can have discussions of other subjects besides the normal

"Wah Wah Wah" thread of how much they think Fulmer and UT suck.

There are 10,000 threads dedicated to those subjects. Stick to them.

I can understand that sentiment and I'll try to do it, but please keep in mind that I did not start this thread and the thread asks if the program would be better or not. Maybe the person who started it was trolling, maybe not. I don't know them.

There is nothing wrong with being critical of the program, but some of us have grown weary of not being able to read a single thread without being bombarded with constant negativity about the program. It is one thing to be critical, but quite another to post absolutely nothing but "(Insert UT staff member here) sucks" and "We will suck again". You never have anything of substance to post and will do whatever it takes to spin a positive thread into a cesspool of negativity. It is also dissapointing to not be able to attempt to post anything positive without being called an apologist, sheep, kool aid drinker, Randy Sanders, or orange colored spectacle model. It just gets old, you see.

There's a difference in being positive and being in denial and defending everything including the wrong choices and actions. I have no problem with being positive. I'm optimistic about next year...no title game...but optimistic. But I will not sit here and give a record as the only reason someone is the best coach ever either.

My daughter's boyfriend who is in Ole Miss law school (regretfully), is an aquaintance with Matt Luke, our new tight ends coach, and relates that he is very positive about UT's prospects for next year as well as recruiting this year. Luke, by the way was an All-SEC center and hopefully he and Atkins will work out well with our OL. Now if we could just get a good WR coach.

All I hear some of you saying is that you don't want to see any more negativity. Some of us see blind allegiance as a negative that fosters the type of mediocrity that has infiltrated the program. This will just go round and round. When I see some positive developments I am sure that my posts will appear more positive. In the meantime, if my posts bother you then you are free to ignore them.

Ok, Ok, already Christmas is over and Santa brought us an early present. We have Coach Cutcliffe back, and the offense will return to what we were accustomed to on offense before Randy Sanders took over. Erick Ainge needs to add an extra 6 hours of film study to his semester load. Our receivers need to go back to the basics and learn to catch the ball with gloves off. I am excited about Arian Foster, he's a gamer. Offensive Line needs to play basketball to work on agility in the offseason. Defense, well I am not mad at them at all because they played they hearts out all year. Only if the defense had a productive offense they wouldn't had to be on the field all game. The secondary can use some more skill training( see highlight film of Jason Allen). Everyone knows that Tennessee carries nothing less than blue chip athlethes, so it's time to get in gear and get back to do what we do best. I am excited about 2006 and I can't wait.
