I think to improve in recruiting we'll need to show improvement on the field PLUS give the coaching staff a full year to recruit. A program in decline isn't a good recruiting tool and we've seen evidence of that the last few years as we've missed out on big names again and again.

Taking a peek at our schedule next year to see what we can accomplish. Good news is we have a couple of softies before Oregon and Florida and then another one before Georgia. After that it's a tossup on many of the games. The key, to me, is improvement throughout the year regardless of the W/L record.
Is it just me or did anyone else notice a Dooley coached team only lost by 7 to UGA last year??? To me UGA is just not that good ,never has been never will be anything other than mediocre with Richt at the helm. I actually see us upsetting UGA next year.

Freshmen will make impacts all over the country. Dependent is too strong a word.

UTs class was poor for the SEC and that is my point.

Freshmen do make impacts and I beleive we have some in this class that have that ability. Overall this class ranks 11th in the sec. It is what it is.

OTH we do have some very good players in it. I'd put our qb and wr haul up against anybodys. Did pretty good at db, te, and de. Bell and Lawson...oh well.
Dang it.

You do realize that we have had only 3 winning seasons since 2004. You have to give Coach Jones a chance to see what he can do. Since the 2013 schedule is one of the toughest in the nation and the toughest in the SEC it doesn't look real good. If he can couch our current players up and start winning some games then the recruiting will pick up. You have to remember that this years incoming Freshmen were less than 10 years old the last time we were constantly winning 8 to 10 games a year. They don't remember that.

And it has actually come true hasn't it? There are only 5 probable wins in the schedule this fall. There are 3 "toss up games" and the rest we will probably end up roadkill.

This. Yikes, I just went through the helmet schedule. I was optimistic about winning some games but damn, I forgot how brutal it was. I ended up at 5-7.

Hope I'm wrong.

This recruiting class is going to shock the world! We have a lot of speed, this is the type of class that can be coached up,they are smart, fast, and have the build to really hold some muscle.

I say get behind CBJ and help him get us back!

i would lean the other way and say they will never have a winning season. i hope your right and i'm wrong.

Hmmmm, CMR wins 2 East Championships in a row. Comes a play away from beating Bama to play for the NC, and the program is "mediocre" under him. Guess that's a smidge subjective.
