Football Program Slipping

Don't look at how many got drafted but also at how many chose to stay. We just didn't graduate a lot of players this year so we shouldn't expect a huge number in the draft. In a couple of years we will have a mass exodus and then all of us will be looking at each other and thinking ohh sh@t what do we do know???

Less players drafted by the NFL means that the Vols are young and players are returning next season. I like the Vols chances alot better next season than Auburn, yet the Tigers had 3 players taken in the first 9 picks of the draft. One year's draft is not a good measurement of a program. You have to look at it over a longer period of time. The SEC consistantly puts more players into the NFL than any other conference.... and Tennessee usually has more players in the NFL than any other SEC team..... you do the math.

consider we werent even picked as one of the top teams in the east last year. And the vols shocked everyone with the SEC east title. Only 2 losses to the #3 team in the nation!! slipping... for shame.

then consider that we were one of the youngest teams in the SEC.

after that, think of how many returning starters we have coming back.

how many do you think we draft next year?

Every elite team in the SEC thinks their program is slipping.

No team will ever be a consistent SEC dynasty winner.....UGA/UF/UT will always be splitting the title.

With todays recruiting world....it just wont happen.

Don't panic, imo

Another fact to end this lame argument :

Over the last Decade UT has produced more NFL Draft picks than any other NCAA College, total=77.
