For all you Kirk Herbstreit haters

I actually know him pretty well. He’s a super guy that always has great things to say about Nashville, the state, and the University of Tennessee.

Him having an opinion and crying on air doesn’t make him a fraud or a “UT hater.”

Next time you see him, ask him where he is at in the "Sciatno to TN" progression? Where does he see UT Football at this point vs where it is.
Then ask him why OSU didn't hire GS at least as the interim, when he was the Associate Head Coach on the staff, and the HC jumped ship? Was he as disappointed w his alma mater as UT for not hiring this legendary elite coach?
Id love to hear his opinions of those two things.

I am pretty sure he bought in and spread the BS after Kiffin was fired. All those riots, and how trashy our fans were.

As someone who was at the "riots" in person let me tell you Herbstreits version was far different from the truth.

I was behind the plate years ago and called strike 3 twice on his oldest son. Kirk never said a word to me but his son he said you have to swing bat Son. He was good parent to umps unlike many others. In CHRIST Alone

I'm probably in the minority here but I actually think Kirk Herbstreit is about as objective as they come. Greg McElroy isn't too bad either.

The flip side of this is Greg Pollack. There isn't a more biased homer in all of sportscasting.

Exactly, never met him but everyone I know who has says he is a super guy. Some people need to get a life.

it absolutely DOES actually CONFIRM he's a fraud. That "spectacle" on air that night...with him "boo-hooing" about his "white privilege" from his "days in the locker room" was an absolute identifier of what he REALLY is...an Opportunistic "Band Wagon" FRAUD!

I don’t agree, but respect your opinion.

He’s basically shorted giving Heupel any credit for the success. The first words outta his mouth when discussing Tennessee’s offense is “the Art Briles system…”

I guess MBA coaching wasn’t good enough for his youngest son. Lol

It means the kid couldn't start at MBA or Ensworth so they had to take him to that big Catholic school in Cincy and toss some $s around so the youngster could start.

No obviously you just choose to ignore the Schiano situation.

Ignore, no. I’m just not that bothered by people who disagree with me. Herbstreit does a good job. He has repeatedly said good things about Tennessee. He was wrong about the Schiano situation, in my opinion. I’m okay with that.

Meh, whatever. He really doesn’t bother me that much. Whole Schiano thing was such a disaster. I don’t fault our fans on that one but our fans can be pretty ridiculous as well. I think he’s probably one of the better personalities in college sports; not sure that’s really a ringing endorsement.
